I didn't get a letter today, they usually come on Thursdays.:( I don't know if this is 100 percent accurate, but the RTC Master Chief posted that their mail usually has at least a 7 to 8 day delay from the time you send them depending on where you are when you mail them and occassionally longer. He also said that they forward the mail on to them if you continue to send it and they don't get it before they leave.

Ann & willo, congratulations, y'all should be so proud... we mentioned to our recruit that if ANY other recruit doesn't have family to see sights with on liberty weekend they are welcome to join us... our son will spending time with his wife so we'll be more happy to borrow someone else's child...so RenoNavymom, tell your recruit to look for a forlorn couple without a kid if he wants to get some Chicago pizza!

Welcome Reno's mom. If you post your son's Ship/Div I'm sure some of us mom's there can try to take a few pictures at PIR and hopefully get some of him for you.

I wonder when we should stop sending letters/cards? I'll ask some of the mom's that have already gotten past PIR. I had planned to send a motivating card a day leading up to Battle Stations. But, maybe their mail is delayed in getting to them. I haven't had a call or letter from my son since the 9th so I'm not sure. (I had really hoped he would have gotten to call last weekend) I know they are SO busy right now though, but, I can't help but rush home with eager anticipation to check the mail.

Huzzah for the mom's that received letters and Congrats to your recruits for their achievements! Way to Go!

RenoNavyMom - my poor injured recruit spoke very highly of the Medical Yeoman!! Must be your son. I think one of his biggest disappointments is that he can't graduate with his "shipmates". he made some good friends in Div 145. Some of them he will see in Goose Creek after they all get through PIR.

Welcome RenoNavymom!

My son is also in DIV 145 and was good friends with TNmom's son so maybe our sons are friends as well. My son will be going to Charleston after bootcamp...

Hey ladies, about to get off for tonight, but I am putting a spreadsheet together so we can keep up. I would really appreciate it if you could send me your info, especially where your recruit will go to A school and what job they are going for. It may help some of us connect on our future journey after this week. I think I am only going to include M4M name, ship/div, A school info and if attending PIR and meet and greet. You can PM me if your prefer. I have gotten a couple of people who already sent me info, no need to send again. It may be better if you PM so I won't miss it.
