Well MOMS this is my first post. My son is in Ship 03/Div 145, we just got another letter from him today and he was telling me about his injured "ship mate" and I HAD just read about him today on this site. (so sorry to hear about that TN Navy mom. I know how I'd feel, you feel for your son. He made medical yoeman and will no longer be a section leader . His dad and I can't be there for his grad. on 4-9, we're going to Europe, (trip was planed before he went in) but he will have some surragate parents there. I will go to A School grad. and hopefully we can fly home together and catch up.. My understanding is the whole DIV is a Grad & Go, so I wouldn't have had any time with him, so this is much better.
A little about my son, he is a very responsible mature 26 year old, has worked for the same wonderful company here in Reno since he was 15 and has advanced over and over. They ask about him all the time. He loves his family and county, he will be a great Sailor!!! Oh and I miss him like crazy.

Hi Everyone,
Letter from grandson today written on the 21st, "food is better than expected. Finished weapons training and received a marksmanship ribbon, will have a little chest candy for graduation. This coming week will have fire fighting and the gas chamber. Tomorrow is drill inspection. Test in 2 days. Can't wait until April 9." Probably won't receive but 2 more letters.

Mom's I saw on the group for PIR 4/2 that they started a Battle Station Schedule Discussion so family can update/add info as they learn it about when their recruits BS is and any other info they learn.. Maybe we could/should start one.. What do you think?
