I just wanted to give a little bit of information to Em's mom. If they do any recreation it can only be in approved navy attire. I read it somewhere I think it might have been in the forms package. Just check I would hate for you to take it and her not be able to wear it! My daugters PIR is on 4/09 as well obviously. I am planning on attending the meet and greet. I hope to meet you there as well. take care and Bless our Sailors!

Ann jumped on at work, boss allowed me to bring laptop for lunch time as we aren't allowed to use our network at work. My son is in ship 13 div 152 which is the brother sister group to your ship.

By the Way, This is a link for a group if any of you have SR's on Ship 06/Div 921. I know there are 88 in his Div so hoping some more parents have found there way to Navy4Moms and can connect with us.

Well, that sounded wrong. It's obviously not a meet and greet for the sailors but, for the families of the sailors graduating on 4/9... That's a better way to say it.

New to group, not sure how it works, thanks for answering. Will tell you a little about us. We are grandparents of David, Ship 13,-151. Planning to go to
graduation but may not get in, hoping to see him on Friday and Saturday. He has father, step mother, mother, 16 year old sister and 8 yr brother and 6 yr. sister. We are sure they are on his list and completely understand. We just hope we get in, if not will watch video. He is our first grandchild. Really proud of him since my three brothers served a total of 46 years in the Navy and David's grandfather 4 years. We have booked rooms at Springhill Suites. We live in Salisbury, NC and his parents live in Peachtree City, GA. Will be flying to Chicago. David is supposed togo to Pensacola for A school unless that has changed since he got to BC. Hope this isn't too much info. Love this site.

the girl can sail - DIV 152 is a brother division to 151 and my son is in that division. I also sent my son stamps and phone card as soon as i received his address. He has been writing and sounds good. I have received a couple of very short calls. I feel like a kid at Christmas with all the excitement and anticipation of seeing him in a few weeks. He is my first born and he just graduated high school in May of 2009. Married in September of 2009 and left for boot in Feb, 2010. Lots of changes for this Navy mom!

Hi Ann! My son is Ship 13 DIV 151 as well. His job will be Master at Arms. His A-school will be in San Antonio. We will be going to graduation and staying at the Ramada. We plan to be there in time for the Meet N Greet on the 8th. Less than am onth to go! Can't wait. I have asked my son for some names of those he has made friends with so I can find out if any of you are the parents. I think it will be nice to put a name with a face.
