Yeah! Received my son's first letter today. Very heartwarming and reassuring to read his handwriting. Guess what, he's doing great! Not a single complaint! Commented on how busy they are with only a few minutes to get ready or make bed perfectlyor shower and "hygiene" - ha! Getting about 4-6 hours of sleep a night. Also proud to wear a uniform with his last name on it (that really made me smile!). In an integrated unit of males and females. Mentioned getting sick from all the shots and that he will need to get his wisdom teeth pulled. Very upbeat and told me not to worry...how did he know?!! Wanted to make sure I had the right date for graduation on 4/9/10 and asked me to keep the letters coming! What a relief. I'm sure there will be a tough time or two, but sounds like he's handling it well. That's all a mother can hope for!

Hey EricaRae, some of us did get letters. I'm heading home from work now, trying to beat my husband to them. I see on your profile that you're from Tennessee too. Do you have a son or husband at BC right now? My son is Ship 03 Div 145.
