has anyone from the 808 gotten a letter yet besides the form letter yet? Wondering if they've been able to write yet. Looks like the other divisions have gotten a letter out, but haven't seen anthing from anyone in 808's yet. The waiting is so hard.

I'm a newby. My son is Ship 3 Div 145. He's 22 years old and left home 2/9 to go to Nashville arriving at RTC on 2/10. He got married on 1/9 so we have our new daughter in law staying with us for a while. We got our letter yesterday telling us his graduation date is 4/9. It was awesome to see his handwriting even if it was only 3 lines. DIL and I were hugging, jumping and crying together in the kitchen when I was reading it. She didn't even mind that the letter came addressed to his mom instead of his new wife. I mailed 5 letters yesterday and mailing more today.

Hi all, I haven't received a letter yet but it has only been 1 week and 1 day. I am going to write a letter when I am done here. I keep reading to keep writing them so that's what I will do. Are there others out there where the child is on ship 03, division 147. I see a lot of 143's. I watch the videos on graduating and they are so cool. Gives me goose bumps. I also like the countdown. I hope the time is going fast for them like it is us. I hope when I receive a letter, she is enjoying it.

Okay..i guess i can add to some confusion... My son was Ship 9 Div 129 which was scheduled for PIR on March 19th. He happen to be set back two weeks..which would give him a PIR April 2nd. I called the Public Affairs office and they gave me my sons new ship and div, Ship 3 Div 144. I was looking a couple of other N4Ms that got the same ship and div and they had a form letter stating that the PIR is 4/9/10. Now that would put my son out 3 weeks....So, since i was completly confused, I called the Public Affairs office back and he confirmed that ship 3 div 144 is set for PIR 4/2/10....I told them that there are several N4Ms that are stating that the PIR for this ship and div was set for 4/9/10...He said that they have it wrong.... So, to add to the confusion...that is my updated info... HELP

Hi ladies~No letter here either. I read the posts about musical cards and stickers...I also called sons girlfriend and told her not to send musical cards or do the sticker thing. From what I am reading it sounds like we wont get to spend alot of time with them. I guess we were under the impression that he got to come home for a couple days before heading to A school. Hope you are all keeping your spirits up and positive thoughts close by.

we will be able to buy the tshirts the day of graduation? That's good if we can. Do they also sell navy sweatshirts? I am a sweatshirt person. I would also like to know what pir stands for. I saw it before but I forgot. It's been a week and 1 day now for my daughter at boot camp. I know there is yelling but I hope not alot, lol.
