Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by navywife10 on April 9, 2010 at 11:26am: Got a letter from my husband yesterday and seems as if he is doing really well, they put him on ship staff and I heard thats a good thing?!?! He also said that the classifier told him that he will more than likely be going to a ship after A school instead of a squad in which we were praying for. I took it really hard knowing that he's going to a ship, does this mean that he will be deployed right away? anyone have any advice?

Comment by Mo on April 8, 2010 at 2:07pm: Both times my calls showed 847 and phone booth, never irretrievable. Since they make the calls from the same banks of phone booths I would assume it would show up that way for you? Most likely you missed a pesky phone salesman. :*)

Comment by Cassandra Rose on April 8, 2010 at 2:00pm: Every time my fiance has called it has been a "847" area code number. I missed a call that said "unavailable" last week too and freaked out! Haha but it turns out it was NOT my sailor :)

Should it be dress pants? Dress? or nice pair of jeans? Please any advise????
