Hi NavyGirlfriend... I too am looking for letters from my son. Are you a member of the Ship 12 Div 179 group here? One of the mom's got four letters in the mail yesterday. I'm so anxious to get home and check my mailbox, but at the same time, I don't want to get my hopes up only to open up an empty mailbox!! Here's hoping we both have mail!! :*)

No letters:( He called sunday and we talked awhile he said he mailed like 10 letters. Anyone in ship 12 Div 179 get any letters? I think they may not be mailing their mail. I wish may was already here!

Hello everyone, I am hoping you can help out a friend of mine who has a boyfriend in Ship 12 Div. 177. Did anyone receive a call this week from their loved one in this division? She is worried that Div 177 was able to make a phone call and she missed it. Thanks!

CeeCee, I have been told that only the recruits know their schedule. So only your son would be able to tell you if he is grad and go or not. Be sure to get this information from him so you can plan your flight and hotel reservations =)

My son is ship 6 div 925, his PIR date is 5/7/10 and his A school is Pensacola. Anyone know if this will be a Grad and Go? Will only he know this information? I truly hope not so we can spend time with him.

Well, it's up in the air whether he is going to Pensacola or TN. I hope he goes to pensacola. Either way I am going to his graduation to support him, Thanks for all the information:)

The first time you will get to see your sailors is when they call Liberty Call following the Graduation Ceremony, there is no dinner with them prior. Mom2sailors is correct then she says that when the grad n' go's leave is up to what arrangements the military has made for them as to when they leave and that you are more then welcome to spend time with them at the airport while they wait for their plane. The best way to plan for Grad n' go's is to get the info from you Grad, for they will get the info from their RDC's. Some division's are grad n go some are not. No one in my division was Grad n' go, so we were lucky there. Some families waited to visit with their grads till they go to their next command, especially if they were grad n' go's. what is the point in flying/driving all the way up here, spending all kinds of money if your going to see your Sailor for an hour for them to ship out to a base much closer to home? But that is an opinion and for you to make that choice. Remember, they make DVD's of graduation...... and so do other parents......

That's what I am worried about. My boyfriend is leaving for pensacola and I live in florida so it's not that far. But, I have been getting different answers from anyone. I hope I get to spend some time with him. Does anyone know if there is a dinner the night before graduation with the sailors? My boyfriends dad said there is always one but was not with the papers.
