I got reservations at the four seasons in Chicago it is about forty five minutes from base. I heard that Chicago is dangerous, and I am traveling alone so I wanted to stick with a hotel I know well. My friend who just graduated strongly suggested I stay at the residence in by the Marriot, because it is three miles from base or something like that. If I hear that its safe enough I will just cancel my reservations and stay there, I am nervous though. His A- school is in connecuit, which is a three hour drive, or a five minute boat ride from Long Island, where we are from. Good thing he will be there all summer ha ha. My friends are getting annoyed as well, you can tell me how much you miss him I won't get annoyed ! I totally agree. I am annoying my self too though, I was out to eat and everything reminded me of him so I kept saying " he loves that, he ate that, he wouldn't get that" hahaha

SC720, I'm doing okay being alone is the worst part but i'm sorta getting used to it. Where did you end up getting hotel reservations at? my in-laws and I are not real sure where to stay. I'm hoping that my husbands divison isnt going to be grad and go's ughhh I would be so up set. Where is your b/f's A school? I'm counting down everyday lol and some of my coworkers and a couple friends are getting annoyed with me talking about him so much lol i can't help it tho I miss him like crazy. They would have to be in our position to know how we feel!

Thank you very much for your responses. NAVYWIFE10- Yes 7 March 2010 is the date of his PIR. I already booked my flight and hotel, I feel like it makes it seem closer. The time is passing so slowly, and they have only been away from home for eleven days... And I was on a business trip for five of them, ha ha. I can't imagine how long the last forty six days or so will be :( How are you doing?

SC720-I'm pretty sure that they are given a chance to go to the nex and buy stamps calling cards etc. I was hoping the same because I didnt mail out my husbands stamps until a couple days ago. Does your b/f also PIR may 7th? it's so nice to talk to others that will be at graduation!
Comment by Stephanie-Sub-Wife on March 19, 2010 at 7:46pm
Does any one know if they can buy stamps if they didn't bring them? I can send them I am just worried that he will be allowed to write on Sunday, and won't have any stamps.

Got my husbands grad papers YAY! he does indeed graduate may 7th :) he was able to write that little note at the bottom telling me how much he loves and misses me and he's praying for me, it was like a ton of bricks lifted off my chest! It's nice to know that they are thinking about us all the time even tho we think they dont have time. I'm now excited for PIR and can't wait to put my arms around my husband :)
