Jess's Mom, I'm there with you on those drawers at home. It's almost incredible that these are the same kids we put on planes 6 weeks ago. I am tearing up like a fool, but it's tears of pride in their accomplishments. HOORAY and CONGRATULATIONS to all!!!

Hi All, got a letter today. Son sounds good. They were trained on how to moor a ship and fire fighting and battelstation prep soon.Doing well on inspections and academics. Sounds positive but not too many details. Thank goodness for you all. I really appreciate all the details and sharing of funny tid bits. :) Take care :)and have a great day.

I just got a 2 minutes call from my daughter. She needs her bank card for pictures. She said she is doing great and it was so wonderful to hear her voice.

My son told me he cried when they got to put on the Navy hat. I haven't seen him cry since he was 5.

Yeah for letter day. I got 6 letters, a homemade Mother's Day card, and a page of "catch phrases". I can't believe she found time to write during Hell Week. She said pretty much the same as Gloria and Beatrizm about how well they did and how proud their Chief is of them. However, because they are doing so well, they are pushing more things on them. But she felt that they were all capable and will do whatever they throw their way. She also said that they got to sing cadence leaving the drill hall over the weekend because they scored of 4.8. She said how awesome it was for their entire Division marching in sync and singing cadence. She is so stoked with herself because she has gotten 5.0 on every of inspection. If you would have seen my daughter's room before she left, you would have never believed that she even knew the meaning of "folding clothes". I was putting away some of her clothes after she left and each and every drawer looked like a tornado came through them, not to mention her closet.

One letter she was really down on herself because for the first time her face is breaking out really bad and had cried 4 times in 24 hours. But then the letter from the next day she said that one of the other girls pepped her up and she is now feeling better about herself.

Well ladies, we are down to 15 days and counting. WhoooHooooo! Great Lakes Here We Come.

Doesn't this look just amazing?? I watched the first week and was just thrilled with how well they prepare them, plus it just looks cool. Today has been a rough day for some reason, the next two weeks just can't come any quicker.

I was under the impression that those weren't recruits but RDCs and other members of the RTC. Their shoes are all different and some of them are wearing headphones. And for the Earth Day clean up it says its the staff.
I wish it was the recruits, I want to see my husband out there!!!
