Every picture I've seen of the crowds at PIR, they are very casual, twifey I think it's awesome you want to wear a nice dress for your husband. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. I have heard from a friend who's brother PIR was in September. They said it was very cold in the auditorium and suggested I bring a sweater. My family all got Navy shirts from navygear.com. Very affordable and we love wearing them to support my son.

My husband and I decided to go comfortable. We are wearing kackis, shoes (not sneakers), and we just bought Navy shirts (the womans is form fitting). I hope that the weather is nice because so we can show off our shirts.

ksunagel- i found a discussion on here (i forget where) that said to be respectful. i've seen several posts on here that said jeans are just fine... apparently there will be a wide range of attire, but i'll also be wearing a nice dress. i probably won't wear heels, but my husband has just gone through hell & i figure it's the least i can do to dress up a little... i would for any other graduation ceremony. i think it's a 'to each his own' type of thing.

Sara, My brother is also going to be in IT. When and how did you all find out if they are grad and go or their flight day?

mikesproudmom- im confused on what ur saying? if her son leaves tuesday to same place and has same job as my hubby but the reason he would be going earlier is bc our whole div is grad and go?
Comment by lovemysailor (ship 14 div 190) on April 25, 2010 at 2:13pm
pattycds- it does not have to do with there job it has to do with there div, my husband is div 190 and his whole div is set for grad and go so it just means they leave sooner than everyone else. but funny enough my husband will be a avation structual mechanic as well, so they will most likely be in the same class in pensacola! i will be moving there the week after pir

I guess that different A school jobs will go on different days. My son is airplane Structural Mechanic. The last letter said that he will be flying on Tuesday. thanks anyway, hopefully by PIR he will connect with someone who is going at the same time with family. Otherwise, I guess everything gets shipped

Roni, My son, Jason, is headed to Pensacola after PIR on 5/21. He will be in IT as far as I know.

My son is going to Florida as well. He told me that he leaves on Tuesday but our flight home is for Monday. Is any one staying until then to go to the airport with them> It would be great to be able to give him his cell phone/computer/and a samll back pack with some clothes. But we can not give them anything at PIR.
