I'm not exactly sure which day it was mailed out. He said in it that he was still in his processing days and that his real training would start "next Thursday" when he moved to their permanent ship, so it was obviously sometime between March 26th and April 1st. It REALLY does brighten spirits! It was the first time I felt like I was actually talking to him, because it was written exactly like he would say it, with all the "lol"s and stuff haha!

I got a phone call from my recruit the Saturday after he left (so March 27th) but haven't heard from him since besides the note in the form letter. I am hoping for the first written letter this upcoming Thursday. What day was his full written letter mailed out? I wish I had gotten one, sure could use it to brighten my spirits haha

My boyfriend is Ship 14 Div 189 and left 3/23. We got all his info around the 29th, then his form letter a few days later. I got a full written letter from him when I got home from vacation this Saturday night!!! I never knew mail could be THAT amazing! I'm definitely counting down the next 46 days! I'm really hoping it'll go by quickly! Hope everyone gets letters and/or phone calls soon!

Congrats Jess's Mom. I think it is all up hill from here! I just got my recruit's info packet on Thursday and hope to get the first written letter this upcoming Thursday. I hope these next 7 weeks go by faster than the first!

Hello moms, i finally got the letter. My daughter is Ship 04, Div 192. I am so excited that I finally have her address and to read her note she sent along with the letter. She made Master of Arms. I am so proud of her.

HI EVERYONE:
My son is also in Ship 6..divison 927. We are a special group because we are preforming division, Even though my son does not play any instruments, He is however, tall and really strong, So I assume he is holding a flag or something, Very proud Mom!
