Shelly- I am a scrapbook lover lol. I go to a 2 day crop once a month here in my hometown. I am stating my daughter's Navy scrapbook this weekend. And I have already made a scrapbook in a box. It turned out so cute. If you would like to make one you can send me an email through my facebook page: Unique Memory Makers. I will send you the free directions. Here are 3 pics of the box I made.

Does anyone know how the divisions are split up? I see others on the same ship, but division numbers one or two below my son's in sequence. Is it just random, in order they arrive?

nicksmum

you can call or email your son's recruiter and he should have your son's address. I got my son's yesterday and sent 2 letters already. I got my box today too. I wonder when it is safe to book flights for PIR. I just wonder how many, if any, of the recruits' date ever changes for graduation..injury etc..

got my box a few minutes ago, i was so excited, my husband had been warned to wait til I had woken up to open it. I didnt feel sad at first i was just happy to get some part of him back. but when i found his phone and put it back together there where all the text messages still on there from when I could talk to him so easily. i cried and felt happy at the same time, because I know I am closer to seeing him and he really is still there. now i just need the address so I can send off his letters.

foreverMom:  We stayed at Residence.  They have 2 queen beds, one in each bedroom, and I thought they have a pullout sofa in the living room?  We enjoyed our stay there.  They have free hot breakfast in the lobby, and they are pet friendly.  PIR shuttle too.  Full kitchens. One mom on the 3/11 group went up there with an entourage of 21 people!  She cooked for hours in the kitchen for her sailor (all of his favorite meals!) and group, and had a blast!
