YuliaAnn my boyfriend isn't 806 but I'm still a girlfriend going through the same things. I know 806 is a spec ops force (I believe I've got that straight) but I'm here to help. I'd love to talk if you needed someone :) PM me or we can connect on Facebook if you want.

Ugg time has started to DRAG again... I can't wait for Chris to call and to see him! The girl he likes here at home (though they are just friends) asked about him the other day - wonder what she'll think when she gets a load of him in those dress blues!!! LOL

I don't think your reservations about going are horrible, Nona.Sounds like a tense time and situation.. probably best to let to cool a bit. On thing i have learned is that grief brings out great anger and immediately people will go to the place that they feel most vulnerable. It may be race, ethnicity, sexuality, economics... it is hard to comprehend losses like this...on both sides. Just a waste as I said in my PM to you. One day at a time.. seems like from what I read the charges are pretty stiff considering the nature of the event.Doesn't seem to me that the intention was bodily harm... but it ended up that way..hang in there. Give it a little time....if you ever need to talk..you know the #

Thanks, NicksMom! I just hope and PRAY that he DOESN'T call before PIR! I know that sounds so strange after all of us are WANTING calls, but I think that if he calls, one of his friends may slip up and tell him what's going on with his buddy! Itwould KILL him! They were very close! The bad thing is, Matt's friend is a good boy! He's been to my home MANY times! We live in such a small town that something like this is UNHEARD of!!!!!!!!!!!!! After PIR, when we are safely back at the hotel (and after he finishes the "alone" shower he requested LOL), I'll sit him down and tell him. I hesitate to even go out to the jail to see his buddy. It is fast becoming a "race" issue and I don't want anyone even thinking that I, nor any member of MY family is a racist! It HURTS me to think that I want to go see him, but won't for such a stupid reason! Maybe after PIR Matt may ask me to go and convey some message to him. I would go if Matt asked me to, BUT ONLY IF MATT ASKS!

Thanks, Nancy! It's really a bad situation! Matt needs his moment in the spotlight, so NO NEWS for him! YET! Best if it comes from me, I think. He may never see his buddy again! Sad! Bad thing is, the uninvited kids were in their car leaving! They took the kid back into Alabama to the ER! Far enough to have thrown out a weapon and it would seem like Mtt's friend intentionally shot the kid! In that case, he's guilty of murder, period! He's being held on an open count of murder and 3 counts of intent to murder (becasuse he shot 5 times), with NO bail.
