OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

No alcohol or tobacco products while on Liberty! He'll be in uniform!

Thank you all. He really is a good kid! THe 4 guys that showed up at his party were not invited and were asked to leave, but didin't at first. When they FINALLY did, someone from in the vehicle shot at the crowd of people. My son's friend grabbed his rifle and shot 5 times at the car and hit one 18 tear old in the back. People are trying to make it into a racial thing, and it wasn't!!!!!! Everyone has guns here! I even carry one! We All hunt and Robbie had taken the saftey course. Just an unfortunate thing! 2 families torn apart forever!

Sorry to be so blunt with that last post, but I just found out that one of my boys' best friends shot and killed another guy Friday night! He's in jail w/out bond and will most likely get a hefty prison sentence! NOT telling my son until after the PIR!!!!!

nna..come a you re..lady lol... lots of people wear jeans if you've seen any videos!!!!!
Comment by Nona on February 28, 2010 at 4:25pm
I really don't care what anyone else thinks of the jeans that I plan to wear to PIR! I'm there to see my son and not trying to impress anyone else! I am only taking a carry-on on the plan, and my son asked me to bring him some civy clothes for hanging out at the hotel, so I have no room for extra's.
