Well Ladies it has been 6 months since our Sailors have graduated boot-camp and moved on, with their careers in the Navy... I must say I REALLY REALLY MISS you all... As one year closes and a New Year is upon us, I always take time to reflect on what the year was and the people that have touched my life and inspired me... TO YOU NAVY FOR MOMS... You were a shining light in my darkest hours of missing Dustin so much... Your friendship and your presence in my life has made a HUGE impact upon me... I will never forget you, not one of you... As we go through the years with our Sailors and the new adventures that will come into their lives and we reflect on his life and career, I will never be able to walk the hallways of those memories without thinking of you ladies first.. We all reached our hands down to help another up, we opened our arms wide and said walk right in, we cried together as we read each others posts and listened together as we posted what our loved ones wrote in a letter home.. We all ran to the mailbox together on Thursday our special day of mail.. You have left your footprint upon my heart and I could never really express the love and gratitude I feel for you ALL... My rivers run deep for you. I would run to you in your hour of need if you needed me too... We have a sisterhood that only military families can understand. No one compares to you... I pray for all of you and your Sailors everyday... I will never FORGET YOU.... I just wanted to say Merriest Christmas to you all and that I hope blessings pour on your lives in 2011...

Anna...I could not have said it better to Kyle'sproudmom!! I wanted to say how pleased I was to meet you as we were walking to the drill hall for PIR! I wanted to be able to thank you for all your help and support through BC! You're a gem! Hope you and your family & your Sailor are doing well!

SumiK0125...It was nice to meet you at the meet-n-greet! I enjoyed talking to you, you're a hoot! I hope you continue to do well! Are you gonna stay in SC while your hubby is in school there? My son was gonna go Nuke, but reclassed as EOD. He didn't want to be in a classroom for 2 years! He likes to be out doing physical stuff. Best of luck to you and your handsome "Sailor"

Nancy...I'm so sorry for all that your family & son are going through! You are in my prayers! I will pray that you are given the right path to getting this mess and Kyle's life straightened out. I hope you get on here long enough to see this post so you know that we are all praying for you and will help you in any way we can if you tell us what to do!!! God will give you the strength to fight this battle and win!!

Jill...I am so glad that I'm not the only one who's son just wanted to take a long hot shower and chill on Liberty. I see everyone's pics of all the things they did with their sons and feel like I/we didn't do enough with/for TJ! And, I really enjoyed meeting you and your husband, I wish I could've met Brandon! I have a great pic of You, Me & Denise on my FB. I should put it in my pics on here, I'll get right on it...lol! Have a great 4th! Love ya!!

PIR was AWESOME!!!!!! I never felt those feelings ever before...there were so many special moments and emotions during that ceremony!!! But, the "BEST" was when they called my son's DIV and & saw "HIM" walking toward-past me!!! Words cannot describe those feelings!! Every mother knows what I'm talking about!!! To see the child you carried for 9 months walk past you in those dress whites, so tall and proud...AWE STRUCK is probably a good word for it!!!
It is sad, but bittersweet, that this group is over and moving on. I love you all & you will forever be a part of my life & forever in my prayers!! HooYah!!!

Kylesproudmom: It hurts us all that you and Kyle and your family are hurting... He endured 7 1/2 weeks of boot-camp to get the rug pulled out from under him at the last min.. TRAGIC!!! Then the RE4 discharge is a double whammy for him.. I hope you contact and write everyone!! We have a investigation segment on our local news that also digs into this stuff and the injustices that happen in our community.. If you have that. Talk to your local news as well. I would right your Governor, the Attornery General and anyone I had too... When he was honest with his recruiter and then they mis-inform Kyle on information then Kyle gets punished is not right.. The Navy is the one that employees the recruiters and he is the one that should be branded not an innocent child that wanted to serve and protect our country... Put me in the ring Nancy... I will put my boxing gloves on and fight beside you, for you and with you.... Hang tough mama.. I know you will do all you can to help Kyle... We are like mama grizzley bears when someone tries to hurt our cubs... We will stand 8 feet tall and be bullet proof.... Love and prayers for you and Kyle!!!

I'm still smilin! What a great, great weekend! I've been dying to get here to post and catch up but I'm slammed with distractions and obigations (having minor surgery tomorrow - no biggie -but I'll be on crutches for 3-4 days so I had ALOT to do to get ready!!), so I finally got here! I am so proud of my son! He really did change! He is proud of himself, too - I can tell-- which is a good, good thing! I love his deameanor and military pride --confidant but not cocky! Proud but not boastful -- the accomplishment of getting through boot camp paid off but I can tell you he is ready for A School!

I loved meeting you ladies! I'm sorry I didnt' get to meet more and have more time together, but it was very, very cool --so special -- you all really made this a really awesome experience --whodda thunk Boot Camp would be so great (for us, especially now that it's over!).

I arrived at 7:30 am and STILL had to sit upstairs. For some reason, everyone in our division came early! Looked like there were plenty of seats in the other Divisions! my daughter pointed Jerry out and I took alot of pictures even though I really couldn't make him out very well - later Jerry looked at the pictures and said "who's this guy you took so many pictures of???" Wasn't even him!!! LOL!!! Oh, well, it was someone's son and I"m darn proud of him, too!!!! Tee hee!!! I loved it though, after it was over and I yelled down to him - he was looking around and finally looked up with that great big smile!!!! We went into Chicago and celebrated with lunch at the Signature Room on the 95th - John Hancock Building! Then back to hotel for a little R&R, then back at 7pm. Next morning we picked him up -- they didn't get out until 8am cause some of the guys came back late and another incident with one of the women -- Had a great day in Chicago - Navy Pier and went to see Toy Story 3 at IMAX in 3-d -- I must have had high emotions cause I even had tears in my eyes during that (the kid grows up, goes off to college and leave his toys, etc. ...)you get the picture and parallel. Sunday we met a couple of his friends downtown (again!) for Chicago Pizza and took the city tour on the Trolley -- went to the Willis Tower (former Sears) and got some amazing photos of them on "the ledge"! We had a great time all in all -- I coulda just sat there and stared at him and hugged him all day and been happy but the others might have got upset! He looks so good in those Sailor uniforms! They all do. I hate to leave this group but I'm looking forward to Pensacola and the other groups of great ladies in N4M -- hope to "see" some of you around the site. God Bless You and your Sailors. Much, much love. Linda A , Mom of a Sailor
