Akissei~ well my husband and i are going on 2 and 1/2 years married. so you would think i that i would be used this by now....
she is still mad that i would not book a flight with them. (didn't have the money when they got their tickets) i decided to fly alone to have some me time before i get to see my husband (even though their flight times were still available...even the seat she picked for me...Crazy right) and have to spend two days out of town with them and away from my son....
i just hope her trying to over schedule and plan every detail doesn't ruin anything, i know my husband won't let that happen, but i still worry....

i mean i get that she's the mom and all but come on...he's almost 22years old with a wife and baby... give the guy a break he just went though boot camp sheesh

SUMIKO125-
OMG! I think we are in the same boat!!! We have only been married going on four months so they think it is ok to get mad at me. I cannot make him do anything and they are not happy of the people he has chosen to go. Of course they are on the list but yeah. Then Friday they want lunch and time with him. He told me he will be tired so he wants to do something Saturday but they are not happy. They want Friday with him so I am just praying everything works out! I might be bald by the time I get there :) Keep praying and I will pray for you!

Akissei~ i know what you mean about stressful in-laws! my husbands mother is making me crazy trying to perfectly schedule a dinner for Friday night and a breakfast on Saturday... My husband is a Grad-n-Go!
I've explained the process at least 6 times (that he might leave Friday night) and she keeps saying oh that won't happen he can't get a flight on Friday.
it's the Military they can get a flight whenever they want....

i mean i would love if he didn't leave Friday, but there is a chance it could happen...
And she is upset because he isn't writing to mom and dad...he is only writing to me, the baby, and his little brother
it's not my fault i sent him at least 3 letters saying he should write to them but i can't make him. and i do tell them what he says (minus the parts for me)

i'm praying too!! pleases let this get less stressful!!

I had sent Dustin the questioner we had posted above in the forums and he answered them in my last letter... : ) I cant wait to see him... Here are the answers he gave me.. I thought I would share...

1 - Yes I got wisdom teeth pulled I was awake the whole time.. Thank God for good pain pills...

2 -We don't get to know anyone else from other divisions since we are not even allowed to talk.. PERIOD

3 - The campus is beautiful it is very big as well, Divisions marching everywhere.

4 -I was sick for a little while when I first got here but I am all better now..

5 - What I miss most is family it's hard not being able to talk to anyone. I miss the simplicity of home and I miss being human...

6 - Yes I am getting into the groove of things I have my days when I am dragging butt but being the RCPO I cant let that show...

7 - My RDC's are actually pretty cool only really yelling when there needs to be. I get my butt chewed the most since I lead the Division it all falls on my shoulders.

8 - Days really do fly by fast. Always on the go, you never have down time..

9 - I sleep just fine. So wore out by the end of the day but I always take an hour to study.

10 - Chow is not to bad now cuz I get to cut to the front of the line since I am RCPO you get 10 mins to eat after the last person sits down. So I am pretty much done by then..

aileen - That is so wonderful you got a call.. I am hoping my son can call sometime this weekend or Monday again.. It helps so much being able to reach them through the telephone and not just letters.. I am glad he is doing well.. You have a wonderful weekend and holiday as well

the security at RTC really doesn't like the swapping of space on the recruits lists...

but for our PIR date...we only have 6 Div's graduating (sometimes there are up to 12)...which is a very small group. so many of the recruits will be able to have extras join the ceremony.. the 4 on the list will be seated first and the others must wait in the visitor area untill 5 mins before then they fill up the rest of the seats and have standing room.
that is the way i have been told it happens by several recruiters and sailors.

i hope this helps
i know that my husband has me, his brother, mom and dad on his list and 3 others which are hoping to get in to watch the PIR as well...

No you don't buy tickets for graduation.. your son or daughter made a list of the people who could come to their graduation.. if you are not on that list then I would write a letter to your son or daughter saying that you would like to be and he or she can add you. They are only aloud 4 people. but if he or she knows someone who isnt using all of there "Tickets" then they may be able to add your name to their list...The packet that I received in the mail with my Husbands graduation date as well as hotel information also had a section where He listed who was on the graduation list. If you never saw this paper I am not sure how else you would know who is on the list he or she wrote without writing him to find out... Hope this helps - Laurel
