There are count down clocks that can be added to this site or even your personal page. We had one for my daughters PIR group. It is a nice thing to see as the time goes down. You can search for them on google, type in count down clocks.
I am so happy that so many of you recieved letters today. I know that is such a great feeling. :)

I'm reposting this on the different 'groups' because I don't want to miss anyone reading it who it might help, so this may be a repeat to some of you. Sorry if so.
*****************************************************************************
I got a letter from my son today!!! I can't believe it. As soon as I seen it I just started bawling, and that was just SEEING THE ENVELOPE! I was surprised it affected me so much just to see the envelope. Then i read the letter and sobbed some more!

Anyway, the letter...
The MAIN thing he wrote about was wanting letters. He said he didn't even care who they were from, just wanted to get letters. He said they have mail call every night and when they get a letter it is pretty much like Christmas. So I called my nephew, his cousin that he was good friends with, right after reading the letter and told him he HAD to write Colton. I must have sounded pretty bad because he said he would write him tonight! And that he would get 2 other friends of Colton's to write him tonight also. And he promised 4 sure! I had to run an errand tonight and when I came home they were here on my computer and had 3 letters written and almost ready to go! I am so glad because I can't tell you how much Colton stressed the letter thing. I"m sure you already are, but if your not, be sure to WRITE YOUR RECRUITS as much as possible, as now I see it means as much as everyone has said it does to them.

He also said he said the bunks are small but not bad, he is doing ok, and that 5 or 6 people quit already and they haven't even done much yet. He said he wishes he could come home but knows he can't. That broke my heart. He also said one of the worst things there was no music! That going for extended periods of time with no music 'sucks'. And said "BE SURE TO BRING MY IPOD when you come for graduation". lol

Oh, and he also said there is a guy there who looks like Tom Cruise. Anyone have a son that looks like Tom Cruise? lol He said all the guys are like him and don't act macho. He said they got their camo uniforms on Saturday and they look 'bad ass' in them! lol

He said they get free time Sundays from 7am to 1pm but that was it tho.

I just wanted to let you all know I got a letter so hopefully you all will be soon if you haven't yet. Going to watch my daughter run track at State so may not be able to get back on here for a few days, but hopefully you all will be sharing more letter info when I get back on! (Btw, my son sent his letter on Sunday, we live 3 hrs from GL, and I got the letter today (Wednesday) if that gives you all some time frame.)
Hope you are all doing well and get letters SOON. Tammy

I got Jerry's letter today and I think I'm going to frame it and hand it on the wall in front of me so I don't have to keep taking it out and reading again and again. What a relief -- he is doing well, says "everything is fine here" getting up early not too bad except for when he has watch -- got 6 shots, the bicillin in butt hurt for days - lost a little weight but feeling stronger every day. RDC's are good and chief is a good guy who wants them to suceed. He's pretty sure the worst is behind him (one can only hope)." -- processing was brutal. All in all, he sounds good. Even joking in his letter. I'm grinnng ear to ear. It was a great day!
