Good Morning! I got a letter from my wife last night ;o) it was a short one but everything is good and she sounds ok! She's not too happy with the job they gave her as a ABH but I guess she will have to do it for 2 years before she can change it.... I also got a Quiz questionaire she wanted me to fill out lol. Ahh.... I can't wait till PIR already !!!!

Denise/Proudmom - that would be my son that told me he was at bootcamp and not summercamp! If I give him sports updates now, I just type it in my letter. My sister-in-law got a letter from Jamie yesterday! We leave in 18 days!

Jamie'sMom, Wow, who sent you the letter commenting this is Bootcamp and not Summercamp?
Kathyjeanba, Good idea on the joke pages ... thanks!

Shelly - I can relate to the weirdness! Jamie can't wait to do the gas chamber! Must be a guy thing. It's all part of the training. My husband got his honorable discharge from the army the year before the Gulf War started and I am so greatful. A lot of health problems for the guys that fought over there.

Denise, In my last couple of letters I've enclosed a couple of the joke pages from the Reader's Digest. I figured they were short enought to read when he had a moment and the didn't add much weight to my letters.

Thanks for sharing the gas chamber info. We'd been wondering about when they would be doing that. It will be interesting to hear how that goes!

Denise/Proudmom - no problem. I think I have read at least half of this forum and have learned so much over the last four weeks, that I feel like I've gone through bootcamp!! I would just say be careful about the hockey info - I sent Jamie articles on the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves and got a note back from him that this was bootcamp NOT summercamp!!! And then he proceded to compare it to prison! I did put in my letter today that if Atilla the Hun allowed the calendar, I hoped it would help!

Clandy - Gas chambers is what it is. Chemical warfare has to be trained for. You should be able to find a video on Youtube. I know we seen something on the military channel. Nasty stuff.

Hi everyone, Wow Jamie'sMom, what a great idea ... with the calendar! I write to my son Zack everyday and I've been sending him pictures. However, for the past 2 days, I printed and sent him the sports section (hockey game) to keep him up to date. But now that our hockey is done, I wasn't sure what to send him but after reading your calendar idea, I thought that was genious. I think that's what I'll send Zack tomorrow ... thanks for the GREAT idea.
