Let's help those who are coming to PIR by themselves find each other so that no one is traveling alone from the airport to Great Lakes.

I can barely remember what I did yesterday Rebecca! You mean you don't feel like reading through 185 pages?? I hope your son's situation gets better. Where is he at for A-school? I will keep him in my prayers.

Okay, someone posted a poem about the Navy, Marines, Army, and Air Force when our kids were in boot camp. I remember I sent to my son in a letter. It was a funny poem about how much better the Navy is. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or where to find it? My boy is having a rough time at A-School right now and just hoping to cheer him up.

Do you guys remember "elizatil"? I hope I spelled that right. Her son was in our PIR group but was injured early on. Well, she just joined the PIR 9/24 group - her son finally has a graduation date! I can't imagine having a child there for that long, she really has relied on prayers!

Just talked to our sailor. He's on the phone with his dad right now. He finished ATT yesterday. He's now getting paid to wash windows. ;) He sounds happy and healthy. What more could a mom want?

Sobe, Congratulations to both you and your sailor! Seeing him in 2 weeks! Lucky you!!! Hug him from me too. My husband enjoyed his time at Norfolk back in the day. (Army musician-music school was on the Navy base) Italy, oh boy I'm jealous. :) Our PIR 6/4 sailors are moving right along!

It's bragging time! My son's A-School is normally 14 weeks long, but it's designed to be self-paced, so he called today to say he has completed it!! He can officially use his earned title "ITSA" (Information Technologist Seaman Apprentice). He comes home for leave in 2 weeks, then will go on to C-School in Norfolk for 5 months, then he will be stationed in Italy. I am so proud of this young man and I can't wait to hug him!

My son is ET also.
I remember when we first moved to OK that I was a wreck everytime a tornado watch was posted. Now I've got a better idea about when to be worried. Weather reporting has improved so much since then. Now I get crabby if a favorite show gets interupted when the storms are waaay out west still! Seriously, I am thankful that we have such a good early warning system.

Kathy- yes, well my kid was just crabby that he got woken up! But, it was a thrill for the CA boy! He is taking electrical classes.

Rebecca, I'm wondering if our sons are in the same area. I can picture my sailor telling yours that it would be "just another day in OK!"
