Aw Kim, that is so tragic. I'll add the family to my prayer list. It's getting pretty long since being on here.

Veleda, now I feel dumb. I checked in with the other group first (Trents Mom)and then saw your post here. If we have passed over your posts, I'm sorry. I hope Myron hears good news soon and that he calls you this weekend. Being on hold is no fun. B was there for a while too and it just leaves you and he in limbo.

Lynn, my prayers are with you and R. It probably seems really fast to be deployed that soon.

Good Morning ladies, I hope everyone is well and hearing good news from your sailors. Got a text from 'B' saying he had a great weekend. He went to the lake and got a little sunburned. Sounds like he had fun. He starts official pre-buds on Wed.

TTYL,
Tee

I keep reliving the PIR weekend too! I miss my G so much! He left 20 days after High School Graduation, and you all are right, it never gets easier to say good bye. I feel like missing G reminds me what is important, and to treasure the time with my other 3 before I am an empty nester! G said that 3 guys are gone from his class already; he said one guy missed the swim time (on a PST) by 12 seconds and another guy missed the run time by 2 seconds and they were told "Find another job" Yikes! He said he didn't know what happened to the third guy.
I need Thanksgiving break already too. I am exhausted!! It is a little after 5 am here in CA and thank God for coffee and TGIF!!!!!

Hi my friends, I was waiting a little to share my news (just in case). I talked to 'B' yesterday. He got an iphone so he can communicate YEAH! He was trying to catch me up with what had happened and asked when was the last time we talked. I said it was when I left him at the Chapel at the end of PIR weekend. He seemed surprised! (sigh) I know to him I'm "mom" who's always here, and that's the way it should be, but to me... he's MY SON, my Golden Child, my Best and Brightest. I know you all feel that about yours too.

Anyway, he got put on hold because he was trying to get switched to SWCC school and the waiver didn't get approved before BC was over. He kept pushing it, but in the end the Navy said they wouldn't pay for him to be on hold until SWCC school started in Nov. (Doesn't seem that long to me from what I've heard from others, but oh well.) SO, he was able to go on to pre-buds, which he is totally happy with. He was very appreciative of the SEALS who are working at the NTC and really helped him a lot to try for SWCC. They also assured him that he would be fine at pre-buds. He just thinks too much some times. (His father says he gets that from me.). Due to the Hold time, etc. he'll be starting pre-buds with the 842-843 group that just graduated. He already has his room and roomate and is getting settled in. That few weeks of not hearing anything almost did me in! LOL

I won't take anymore space but wanted to share this since I've (again) been venting everywhere about how miserable I've been. THANK YOU everyone for al of the support, encouragement, and uplifting....

Tonya, I'm so happy that you finally got to talk to Nate. It sounds like he's doing great and having some fun too. If you're like me, now that you've heard from him you can relax a little. Have a great day tomorrow!

Aww, Laurie, that is such a bummer, for you and your sailor. Hopefully he get to come home for the holidays. Tonya, I'm right there with you, still waiting for news from 'B." Lynn, enjoy your time off, we miss you! Thanks Cara for the "glitter" you're the best! Marrisa, good to hear from you, have you been talking to your guy? Mom of cjj, what can I say, ENJOY! (I know you will.) Ask lots of questions!!

Everyone have a great Labor Day Weekend!
