Anyone out there from Ship 11 Div 273?  I'm going away today but would love to talk to family and friends when i get back. My son Ryan's PIR is Aug 26th    I thought I started a discussion for this the other day but I guess I did it wrong or whatever. I want to make arrangements for PIR but not sure if We should come back on Sat or Sun.  Patty

My husband is in this division! His mom and I have arranged plans to arrive Thursday and leave Saturday afternoon.

I'm still waiting for my 'real' letter to come, how about you?

You can find my mother in law's page under GuamMom. Debera1952 also has a son in this division.

I also have a son in this div. I got a phone call the first Sunday he was in BC. I was outside and missed it. Have not talked to him at all since he left 6/26. Have not received any letters except the form letter a week ago Saturday.
Like both of you, we haven't gotten any letters or calls either. Only the first call that he arrived and we received his "box". I read somewhere they get a call the third or fourth week so i would carry your phone everywhere this week! My husband and i were practicing on our cell phones how to do up to" five-way" calling. (at&t is max of five). It was a good tip from a friend with a son in the air force BC. I wanted to practice it because when we get that call I will either be too nervous or Ryan will call my father and I won't be with him. I DO NOT WANT TO MISS my boys voice!

Any one from Florida?

Four of us are flying up for 8/26 PIR and staying from Thursday - Sunday. I'm afraid to leave on Sat just in case I get time with him before he flies out. Even if we go and wait with him at the airport. We did that in Miami and got 3 extra hours
with him.

My fiance is in this division, I am going to great lakes thurs-sunday as well. I'm from iowa so not a bad drive. I got a ten minute call two weeks ago (july 22nd) and letters once a week now! The call was at a very random time- 10am on a friday. hope to get another call soon!

There are two of these discussions going on for this group....lets switch to the ship 11 div 273 started by Oregon mom where there is more talking. see you there...patty
