The first thing I do when I get home from work is basically skip to the mailbox to see if today's the day.  So far it has been the usual junk or bills (eeewww) . I have decided when I do get the first letter I'm going to stand there and just listen for a little bit. I know when I get mine some of the other mothers and/or wives will have gotten one that day as well. I want to see how many screams of joy I can here from my house to yours.  lol I have it all planned out, if our boys/girls get to write on Sundays and the information letter we got took 2 days to get to me; I will have a letter Tuesday !!! please oh please oh please !!! I wonder how many mailpersons get mugged from mothers/wives waiting for letters from BC. hahaha  Do they get hazard pay for more than just peoples dogs?

Just think ladies after today..........we are all one day closer!!!! I hope you all have a great week end.

Proud.mom, I just love the humor you put into this. It is wonderful to hear you all with great outlooks for the waiting game. Yes, one day closer. I remember that feeling. Before you know it you will be packing for PIR.

Have yourself a great weekend - I hope Tuesday will come fast for you.
Thank you Jaz04. I have to stay up beat about all of this as I just can't cry anymore. The first 2 days were pure torture and I have a younger son at home that just didn't need to see anymore tears. It can only get better from here, right? Each day that passes is just one day closer to letters and phone calls and lots and lots of hugs and kisses. I don;t even care that my son thinks he's too old for kisses from mom, he's gonna get them anyway!!! lol
thanks for making me smile today:) last night as i tried to watch the meteor shower (only saw one and it was BIG and fantastic) i thought of my son and how we loved sharing these types of events but i also thought of the moms, wives and girlfriends here waiting on a letter or phone call. made a BIG wish for all of us. have a great weekend everyone.
So glad I could make you smile today. I'm so glad to hear you still went out and saw the meteor shower. I'll bet that was pretty amazing. Thanks so much for the BIG wish for all of us as well.
Wouldn't life be perfect if sweatpants were sexy, Monday mornings were fun, junk food didn't make you fat, girls didn't cause drama, guys weren't so confusing, nothing was regrettable, and goodbyes only meant until tomorrow? Eventually everything will fall into place, but until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment, and ... know that everything happens for a reason.:)
I just saw this on another site and had to share it with all of you :)
Well here it is Tuesday, the day I thought I wold get a letter. No letter but on the positive side, I didn't even hurt the mailcarrier when all he handed me was bills. lol So the waiting is still on.......I just know we will all hear something this week from our boys soon. Besides that, we are all one day closer to PIR!!! Yeah :)
the mail carrier was SAFE today LOL thanks for keeping us encouraged ;)
You're welcome. It's because of all you wonderful mothers/girlfriends on this site that keeps me sane. (Well as sane as I was before my son left. hehehe).
right with you on that....the moms/gfs and especially the moms from other groups have been so helpful. did you see the post wvsuzanne left on PIR 9-24-2010? she is from PIR8132010 and left a link to their group. beautiful pictures.
I didn't see that, I will have to go check it out. I also wanted to add all the wonderful wives to my post before. I feel terrible I forgot to add them on my list of wonderful women on this site!!!
