Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

I called Stephen the other night ''just because I can'' and he thought that was pretty funny. Hey All, just wanted to say I miss the chats this site got going. I am at a site that just does not cut the mustard. I am coming back to here to post...So who has sailors in GL
A School? My sailor is BEQ532...Anyone else got someone there? He hasn't called so I hope all is going well. I may have to use the MOM POWERS and leave a reminder on his FB page to drop a dime on mom and dad. You all know how powerful those powers are...right??? Even our dog knows my serious look to "sit-down now". The cats know that if they hear water running, to depart the area quickly, so I don't try to water them. We told he and GF to invest in heavy coats or jackets cause the wind is always blowing toward the Lake....Alright, I'm back and it is here I shall stay until I find a group for his next duty station...

oh i forgot to add that i just mailed off and he should get today, his laptop and cell phone. i haven't sent any clothes yet since he won't be able to wear civilians for a couple of weeks, but he didn't really ask for much of them. he wants his sneakers, and his shorts, and some shirts. he said he would buy the rest out there.

Good morning everyone! getting a bit chilly in the morning here in central texas. actually had to turn the heat on this morning...lol
Connie - I will let my son know to definately hold out for more money next time :) i can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since they graduated. it actually feels like it's been longer then that.
Navyfam - that stinks being stuck in the hotel all day for sure.
Simply - that's a lot of money to lose to fees...holy cow! will his bank reimburse him any of the fees? we all (me, hubby, son and both daughters) all bank with USAA and they will reimburse you fees for either upto so much money or so many withdrawls. i can't remember which. but we also have usaa atm's local, so we can use those and not get hit with any fee.
I hope everyone has a great day!

MandE---tell her she better stay bundled up. Because she has not see the worst that this area can give her yet. It WILL get colder.
Dorothy--I hear you, mine bought a computer,& we discovered everytime he gets cash out of his checking acct. they charge about $5 in fees. 1 charge for the machine & another we think is a transfer fee. He says he has no choice there is ONLY 1 kind of ATM machine there. Grrrrr! But he is LOVING the warmer weather. Got on FB today & bragged about it. Take care everyone!!!

Good morning Navy Moms. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but after being slammed at work, I'm now at a nearly week long training and stuck in a hotel for hours of lectures. Yeah, I know, fun. LOL! It's not so bad, but it makes if hard to do much else. We even have mandatory dinners with presentations. LOL. Glad to see everyone has made it to Pensacola safely. My sailor is in A school at GL and very happy to be moving into the next level of training. Hopefully I'll be talking with all of you soon.

Good Morning Everyone. Just thought I would check in here and see what was going on. My daughter is doing well in A school, but seeing as how she is still in GL, she is a bit cold! Poor Florida Girl!

Hope all is going well for all of you~~

hey Dorothy---your last post i had to read out loud to david...you remember how worried he was when you were enroute to PIR LOL! Lord those were the days!!!! things going pretty good. he wants his 'stuff' and i am about to the conclusion it would be easier to buy his 'stuff' in pensacola instead of mailing it. hmmm. hey tell your Sailor Son i think the going 'rate' for taking someone's watch is around a !00 bucks in p'cola. he'll be rich!!! trying to put off the playstation or xbox or whatever that thing is called...still a lot of things to do on base like VOLUNTEER and get a ribbon!!!! keep in touch girlie and so good to see you back !!!!

Thanks Connie. how are things with you? it was funny when he told me that some guy offered to pay him $60 to take his watch, he said yes, then his roommate told him after he should have held out for more...lol his reply was, well you should have told me. and yes i'm glad he found a way to make some money, since he spent everything he had in his account but about 100 on buying a tv and xbox for his room...lol
