DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you very much for adding me, and accepting me with such a kind welcome. My name is Breanne, but everyone just calls me Bre.

So glad to meet you. Just reading your prayers have encouraged my heart lately and I wanted you to know that. I believe as you do that peace will only come when the Lord Jesus brings it back, but oh how I could use some of His blessed peace in my family right now.
Take care,
Donna (so you know my real name and not have to use 'NYPD')

21 days and counting till I get to see my cousin again! Whoo hoo! I may not be a Navy Mom, but I helped raise my cousin since he was born. I am so very proud that he was willing to serve his country and follow in the footsteps of most of the men in our family to do so. I'm glad to be a part of this website and wish I had found this so much earlier, it would have answered so many questions. I also say thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome. I felt a little odd, since I'm not his mom, joining a site like this. PIR 24/2010 Here we come!

I finally watched Battle Stations 21 ( the baby is asleep finally!) It was very interesting. I've heard of flight simulators and various emergency drills that are done, but I never knew the Navy was using technology along with the drills to give the SR's a more real world feel. Thanks for posting links to the video. I would have found it interesting even if my cousin wasn't about to face this challenge.
