Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

Hi everyone, I'm going to lay low this weekend, but will pop in occasionally. Just wanted to share some info from N4M moms who are at PIR this weekend. Quite a few stayed at the Ramada (where I stayed) and they said it was awesome, no smells and they felt very safe and comfortable there. Also, they have a "normal" shuttle bus that holds quite a few people. You need to be out front by 6:45 and it leaves at 7am. Picks you (and your sailor) up at 11:30am - which is just under an hour after PIR is over - that's a good thing too, because it gives them time to run back to their barracks to get their pictures and grab Navy swimwear (for hotel). I still preferred driving because I got there earlier and got an excellent seat too - and I got my sailor to myself instead of sharing him with everyone on the bus! He was a Grad & Go, so wanted every minute to count!

Welcome to the new Moms! There are several of us here who have been through this and we are here to help - we are not experts, just moms who want to "pay the favor" forward, as there were seasoned moms who walked us through this ordeal when our kids were in bc!

Hi ladies,It is so good to see different groups becoming friends on this site. I don't know how I would have survived bootcamp without N4M's site. My daughter recently had PIR 7-23, she was in the choir in the 900 divisions, She was a grad and go on a chartered flight to Pensacola. I planned the meet and greet at the Ramada and I made ribbons for all those in our group who wanted one and it has grown so much that I am now making them for other PIR groups as well. If anyone has any questions at all, about bootcamp, letters home, meet and greet, grad and go, chartered flights, ribbons, anything, feel free to send me a friend request. I will be happy to help in any way I can.

The performing divisions have the band, the choir, the drill team and the flag corp. They may get to perform at graduations before their own and sometimes you get lucky enough to find a pic of your SR performing. I did and that was a GREAT Day lol.

Moms: My daughter's division is 945 (9/24). She told me (She called me to request some medical information) that it is a "performing" division and she was asked/selected to be part of it. Any information/comments?

Hi everyone...just got my son's form letter in the mail with his PIR date and division info. This is so hard....I've been writing him every day so at least I can finally send them to him! I can't wait to actually get a letter from him. I'm sure he is not missing the 116 degree weather we are having here though!

Stephanie, I am so glad you got to hear his voice! It is funny how those little bits of time become so important.. it wasn't that long ago that I took my son's "Hi Mom" everytime he called me for granted.. and I can hear in over and over in my head now...I'm so glad for you!! . So did the little brother get his stuff?...lol
