John is a Seebee he is part of the NMCB 40 the call them the "Fighting Fourty", he is ok with going, he is a little excited and a little concerned, we are wainting to hear from him tonight sine it will be the last for a while. He said it can take up to a month before they get there, but they leave base tomorrow early in the am or middle of night.. We will just hang in there. I just hope he does not forget to call we still need a couple of pieces of info from him. Glad to hear Paul is doing well. Good to hear from you.

It has been far to long that our site has had any posts.
Hey Marilyn! glad you are keeping tabs on us.
Jackie- Wow John has completed his schooling. What is his rate I forgot? Is he concerned about going to A'stan?
Paul is still in A school and won't finish that part till end of Jan. Then he doesn't know where C school is. The schooling for ET [ electronics tech] is long.

J is now in Okinawa, Japan and will be there about 2 years or so. He made it through A school and C school (Marine Combat training) and survived BOTH!

Please fill me in when you can!

Hey is everyone getting the Keel Book? We just got ours today. I had Paul order the A package and had forgotten all about it! It has pics of their time in BC. At the back has their photo and then the Div photo. Also their brother div.
I told Paul and he didn't know what I was talking about.

We just got back from NC. Got to see my daughters in-laws and all our SIL very southern family! She looks quite pregnant now.

Katie- so glad Jake got to come home and he's graduated! Yeah! That car story sounds like it isn't a good one. Sorry :(

Becky- good to see you back on here. Working outdoors this summer anywhere but maybe Alaska sounds horrible! Glad Jordan is doing good. That's awful he knew that poor guy.

I got a call from Paul on our way to NC and he said they have denied leave to all starting A school until Christmas. I was so disappointed and that seems so far away from now. I'm going to have to figure out a way to go and see him before. Nov is out cause that's when my daughter is due with their first.
Oct is looking more likely. Gosh I miss him- won't have seen him 5 months by then.

Ladies, I'm proud to announce that Jake graduated for A-School Friday and is officially an Enginemen and will be picking up his written orders on Monday. We are so proud of him and excited for him as he moves on to the next adventure. He did get home this weekend but turned out to be a bit of a bummer because of a lemon car he bought (long story) but this too will pass and I at least got to hug my boy and see for myself he is okay. Although I have a few worries right now on how well he really is I'm sure he will be fine.......

Becky, glad to hear Jordan is doing well......sounds to me like you need a little vacation though..........

Hi lOri and Katie! Sorry taking so long to respond, My business has been booming which isn't so great, since we work outdoors and it has been HOT down here! Yes, Lori, he did know one of the guys that committed suicide. The other was in A school. He said he never would of thought it of the guy, as he acted completely fine. Very sad. Nuke school is kicking his butt, but he's surviving.

I'll start getting on here more. I've just been so busy trying to make up for all the time took off this summer for PIR grad and then driving to charleston to get j his car. Anyway, it's so nice reading all these posts and knowing everyone's doing great! becky
