I know - thanks. Each step they make is as nerve racking as the one before. I almost paced the floors last night waiting for him to call and let me know the results. He worked hard and made it though and I'm so proud of him......

Things are good, just busy. I think we put everything else on hold through bootcamp. J should be able to come home for 2 weeks after A-school (september), then he has combat training and then deploy, so he will see some other country before the end of the year. Then we wont see him for 6 - 10 months(Ick!!) Sounds like P is adjusting. How are you doing?

jackie- so good to hear from you. I know the 'hold' is so hard for them. P has also been on hold but I think classes started today for him. I know he finally moved into his new 'ship' yesterday. He won't be graduating till Jan I believe and then on to 'C' school. A long process. So J will be coming home in Sep? That will be great you get to see him. I'm hoping P will get to come home for Christmas for a break. How are things with you?

Lori, how are you, I have been trying to talk with the Gulfport MS group but there does not appear to be one. J is still holding to, I finally had a long talk with him and think I understand. With his group he is on hold due to the reservists and extensions for other Navy personell, they get top priority. Then he said they had to have at least 8 - 12 people before they wil start a class. So he said last night that they allow all the others to class up first and then his group. He said guys from all over the place were coming to Gulfport, he thinks he will class up by the 21st and start classes that day. He said he will not finish A-school until end of September then he get 2 weeks leave, then Combat training 4 weeks and then he will be deployed. I will keep my fingers crossed. How is P doing?

Yeah it's only about 5 hours. Right now he is in school for 12 hours and if we were married I don't think he would be able to handle that.
Comment by Barry's wife on June 16, 2010 at 5:05pm
We are not married and I am still in school here in GA so we are waiting. We are in no hurry. I feel like if I were to move there it would be much harder on him to stay focused.

Barry is in Nuclear School in Goose Creek, South Carolina. I have visited him once already, and yes I am going to be able to see him again over the 4th. :)

Barry will be phasing up the weekend of the 4th. He started school Monday and I think he realized what a long two years it was going to be. He is in class from 8-8 everyday.
