I just wanted to say I was sorry for not getting to the M&G at the Visitors Center. My son was no help in finding where we should go and was in a hurry to leave. I even had the name tags done and ready. I was disapointed I wasn't able to meet many of you though I did get to meet a few in the parking lot at drop off time and it was a pleasure......

Thank you all for the love, prayers and support you have shown during the weeks of BC. I will never forget it. Best of luck to your sailors as they move on to this next adventure......

The storm was a bit rough. My flight was actually canceled because of it yesterday - was blessed to have gotten to the airport EARLY and they got me on an earlier flight (had to ask to cut in front of a whole lot of people at security - but was blessed people were kind and allowed me to! I really had to RUN to get to the gate in time!)

Anyone else have any issues? Everyone home safe?

WASN'T IT AMAZING?!?! Truly enjoyed meeting all of you that I did, and getting a chance to meet many of your sons and daughters too. We sure have an amazing group of NEW SAILORS!!!

Blessings!
~Marilyn~

Ps...thanks AGAIN Lori and Terrie. Your hard work made such a difference!

So glad you found a place T-Wifey. Was he allowed to keep his phone with him?

Terrie- it was wonderful meeting you. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
The weather was perfect. When my son texted me after we left [ we gave his phone to a family who lives an hour away whose son and ours will be together in a A school and he spent the day with them yesterday] he said they had terrific storms yesterday. We left at just the right time [ 7:00am flight!].
Did you have any trouble getting out Terrie?

It's good to be back but boy was it hard to leave him last night. What a wonderful 4 days we had. And meeting so many of you was a real high light of our time there. Thank you to all for being such great moms.
Thank you Terrie for the ribbon- the corsages wouldn't have looked as good without your contribution. And thanks to all the 'helping hands' for being at the M&G to get it all pulled together. I had such fun with you all.

So now on to the next 'phase'- please stay in touch on here so we know how everyones doing- and how the new sailors are doing.
All the best to you super moms!

Hey y'all!
What a TERRIFIC, WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, SPECATCULAR, AMAZING and SUPER BLESSED DAY! My son was SO happy and at peace today. It was an unbelievable moment seeing him walk across that floor with his division. He had grown up so much - and I couldn't have been more proud and happy to have been there to share his day. I LOVE MY SAILOR!!

It was WONDERFUL meeting so many of you last night! As some know, I hadn't planned to make it, but was blessed to get an earlier flight (Lori helped to "pray me in" :) WOW!!! I am SO GLAD I had a chance to meet you, chat with you, laugh with you and share this special time with you. AND I MET NEW PEOPLE TOO! Super COOL! Y'ALL ROCK IN A BIG WAY!

Major THANK YOU to Lori for the work on the flowers...and Terrie for all your help too. You both did a lot to make this event even more special. ANN D...YOU TOO! I'm sorry that I missed the after gathering. By the time J was ready to go, there wasn't anyone left at the visitors center. I know I missed out on meeting more of you AWESOME people, Maybe we'll get a chance to see a few of you in the next couple days if your sailor's aren't "grad and go".

I could list all the names of the beautiful women that I've been blessed to spend time with the last couple days (but not as much time as I would have liked - I probably could have chatted for many more hours at the meet and greet if I could have!) but that would be silly! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, and I hope you each know that I will treasure these last couple months and the friendships we have built for the rest of my life. And I have hope that at least SOME of you will continue to be my friends long after this PIR site stops being active. Maybe we could do our own reunion some day!

Thank you each so much for the support and care you've shared with me. I will continue to pray for your loved ones and the new adventures they have ahead of them. May God keep each of them safe and bring "Clear skies and mild winds" in the journeys they have ahead.

Blessings all!
~marilyn~

PS...I have video and photos that I will post soon. I was able to get some decent short videos with my "Droid" phone and I will try to find a way to sahre them! Especially those who couldn't make it today!
