nope -not all groups have someone bold and wonderful to start it! SO BE BOLD and start one if you can't find one that exists! It looks like there may be a couple people who love someone in that group - but I didn't find one that had been started either!

I bet you'll have people join yours as soon as you get it going!

If you need help, let us know. We can walk you through it! :)

Does each Ship/Div have a group? I can't find one when I do a search on the groups for Ship 06 Div 928. I am not the best with computers :)

Schellie - there are a couple people on here from your area...They may be "over" at the boot camp mom's site too. And I was born and raised in WA state, and lived there for a long time before we ended up on the east coast...and know exactly where Blaine is!
Have you also joined your sons Ship/Div group? It will help to narrow down some of the shared experiences to more exactly what your son is going through. However, I have loved seeing and ready the posts on here a great deal too! I know that we are all in a similar place with the weeks/expectations. As you can see from my "screen name" - my son is ship 7/div197 - USS Chicago.

I'm SO happy you received 5 LETTERS!! WOW! Your boy must have been busy writing and had a lot to say. That is VERY SPECIAL and I'm sure you feel VERY BLESSED by each word! I'm sorry you missed his call, but how precious is it that you have a voice-mail message?! I have no doubt you are cherishing each and every word. I was at work when I got my call, or I may have been tempted to record his voice so I could hear it again whenever I wanted!! Even if you cry - it's an awesome, wonderful thing to be able to "hear him" any time!!

Have a blessed day, and let us know when you hear more!

Schellie, did you mean calling the car rentals direct? What one did you find that was a good price? How did you get numbers for them?
So sorry you missed your sons call. That was my fear- but he ended up calling the house phone [ and I was home!] Monday night. And here I had kept my cell glued to my side for days!

I finally got letters I got 5 of them why is that? My son said that he was not getting our mail them all of a sudden he recived a ton of letters. Booked my trip to graduation - I recommend calling some of the placed direct I saved almost 60.00 on the car rental. My son called the other day I missed his call but I now have a voice mail to listen over and over. I cannot listen to it to often I cry. Is anyone else from the Pacific Northwest? I live in Blaine Washington.

Lori...I am SO GLAD you got to hear P's voice! YEAH! I know your momma heart was bursting at the seams. And that he was sounding good is SUCH a GIANT BLESSING!! I know his body will heal and the yucky germs will go away.

Have a wonderful night sleep. And thank you for your friendship. I will write more tomorrow.

Nancy- I got a call too tonight. We talked for about 20 min. It was great to hear his voice even though he's sick. He's had a sinus and throat infection almost since he got there- which is weird cause he didn't mention it in his letter. But he did say that most of the guys in his div were sick. Great.

But other than saying it was hard he had no complaints. Racks are made for small people he said I guess was the only negative thing and that was only cause I asked him specifically. I thought that was funny
This has made my day just to hear his voice and know he's hanging in there.

So glad you got a call too Nancy.
Denise- you too.
