Oh, I forgot to say that last Monday they did take his wisdom teeth out (ouch) at 6:30 a.m. (now that's a wake up call). His permanent retainer also came out. There goes that set of teeth! Right now, I was just glad to finally have word from him!

Whoohoo! The mail finally reached South Florida! I was like a kid on Christmas morning. We received 2 envelopes with 3 letters total. First one was a little hard to read. Missing home and everyone. 2nd and 3rd letters were said that things are getting better but they are still counting the days. Getting mail is definately the highlight for these boys....keep those letters going out. Racks are not comfortable and said that they are going on 4-6 hours of sleep. He named some of the recruits that he has become friends with but gave their last names and I don't think that we are supposed to give those out on here. Wish I knew if any of our kids knew each other but we are all family. Chris said in the 3rd letter that this weekend they should be able to call home so yes, EVERYONE KEEP THEIR PHONES NEAR.....our calls are coming!!! Yeah!!!

Jill-FLA - I don't know if this was his 3 week call or not. I didn't even think to ask. He said it would probably be another 2 weeks before he could call again. I was just so happy he could call back after missing the first call that I just sat and listened to him. I don't know if I said more then 10 words to him. I just let him talk. :)

Carolyn K- I never heard from you about the PM but the grad n go he has is to Pensacola at 2AM the Saturday after graduation.

BTW- the La Quinta is close to O'hare airport.

Nas mom- the Navy lodge is for active or retired Navy personnel. We did an EXTENSIVE search for days [ not kidding] and looked at all the reviews. So when we finally made our decision [ my husband is an engineer- that should explain it]
we are staying at the Red Carpet Inn- just the first night we get in. Prices are decent and it's real close to the base and has a shuttle. Reviews are mixed but I figured it's just one night. Then after grad we booked the LaQuinta Inn which is a tad further but had great reviews and GOOD prices. Looks nicer. And you can cancel the same day.
Red Carpet we booked thru Hotels.com. La Quinta we booked direct [ online].

Now for the flights- we are still looking.
Hope that helps.

Nancy- YEAH! Not sure I totally understood what happened to the letter but you got it! how did he sound. Is Michael doing ok?
