How are you all holding up?? Your recruits are almost half way through bc! The letters you receive will still be "up and down" for another week or so, then they will probably start reporting on when they start doing those big exercises, like....Marlinspike, Firefighting, Weapons Training, Confidence Chamber (aka Gas Chamber), and the biggie.. BattleStations-21 (BS-21). Ask them in your letters when they will be doing these exercises.

And if you haven't gotten a call, it will happen! I missed my son's mid bc call, so I did not hear from him until he passed BS-21. But that day will come when you can call or text as often as you like - keep that thought in your minds and the days will fly faster than you think!

What an amazing two days I've had!! Sunday afternoon I got my phone call =) I was so emotional... I felt really bad because I knew our time was limited and I didn't wanna cry the whole way through it. But it's hard not to get all choked up. It was so good to hear his voice. We talked for about 13 minutes before he had to go. I think I was the only person he called... his family is on vacation in Myrtle Beach. Then today (Monday, really) when I got home from work I had FOUR letters waiting for me!! What a blessing... I was so excited. I was crying and laughing and smiling all at the same time. I keep reading them over & over.

He had his wisdom teeth out, and a root canal, so he was SIQ for a few days there. I think that's how he managed to write me so much. The first letter it seemed like the division was all over the place, but by letter 4, the were doing a lot better.

He is Religious Petty Officer... I'm so proud of him! I've printed a bunch of pictures to send along with my next letter. He told me to keep writing and that the letters mean so much to him. I'm glad... I think I'd go crazy if I didn't write everyday.

what does it mean that he has two slots to call home? will he be calling at two different times, or those are just his two options?

Hi Everyone! I just joined N4M and I am a proud wife! My hubby is Scott, I'm not sure if he has been given a nickname yet or not but he has gone by the name "Gundy" here at home so that just might be his nickname there... who knows. I havent received a phone call besides a "business call" about some security clearance stuff and that was a 5 minute phone call... not much was said but it sure was nice to hear his voice!! I hope to get a personal phone call soon!!! I did get some letters last week and he told me how tired he was and how busy they are and of course how much he missed me and our 2 kids. He says he's doing fine and is eating very healthy and is in even better shape then he was when he left for BC. He was in excellent shape before so I can't even imagine him being any stronger! :)

Are there any Navy Wives or Girlfriends in here who's Man is in Ship 4 Div 817? I would love to be able to connect with you! I'm on Facebook and would love to become friends on there. please add me if you have a facebook!
My awesome father and mother in law have booked our rooms at the Ramada for the graduation. we wont be making it to the mixer in time.. but we just might make the tail end of it so I hope to meet alot of you in person! :)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying lots of prayers that i get a phone call soon! ♥

I got a call!!!!! I was so excited and almost broke my neck getting to the phone. He sounded tired but said he wasn't. He admitted to taking my advice about eating healthy choices and how it really gives him the necessary energy. He has 2 jobs, one being the recruit that runs ahead to guard the intersections as they march and also makes sure everyone signs in. He didn't need to have wisdom teeth pulled but many did. He told me all the info I received from this website was true. He seemed very happy to hear that I'm giving him a heads up about things. He's doing just fine and although I didn't think I was exhibiting any stress in my letters, he could tell I was. He enjoys getting mail as they get bored a lot. To all the moms who haven't received calls hold on b/c they were allowed to write and mail goes out on Mondays so I'm expecting it by Wed or Thurs, watch out Mr Postman!
