My boyfriend is ship 12 div 260. I just booked my room at the Ramada. I'm so anxious to see him. No letters or calls yet. I can't wait to hear from him, I hope he's doing great.

Does anyone know how we know if our sailor will be grad & go? Will he let us know if he finds that out, or do we find that out when we get to his graduation?

Hi everyone! By popular demand, I just created a "Grad & Go Info" group. I feel good about answering most questions, but I don't want all the input coming from me - so if you have experience, please jump in. It's not my group, it's everyone's group! I'm counting on my N4M friends (who talked me into this) to help me with it!!

If you have a G&G and have questions, this group will do their best to answer your questions.

I just started it about 45 minutes ago, so I really need others to join. Okay, even if it's just to make me feel better and to give me some company because it's weird seeing only one member!

She is in div 255. It was dated 6/11, and she said she was going to try to write a little bit at taps but that they weren't "supposed" to write except on Sundays. And she had not gotten any of the letters I've sent because she asked for stamps and I sent a book in the first letter I mailed. She sounds good, just tired and very homesick but pretty positive. She arrived 6/1, so here's to three weeks down!

Hi, and thanks Curtsmom for inviting me. I couldn't find this group. Anyway, my daughter is PIR 7/30, and is ship 10, div 250. I booked our hotel this weekend, the Residence Inn Lake Forest/Mettawa. We haven't heard anything from her yet either, but I've been sending mail every day, even if it's just a couple of lines and a comic strip or joke. Anyway, good to see all of you!

Does anyone know if we could expect a special call from our recruits for Father's Day?
Comment by mh4kids (Ship 04 Div 817) on June 17, 2010 at 8:44pm
@CurtsMom- I vaguely remember my son signing a medical release with the paperwork for the recruiters office. I would definitely check with his recruiter.

@CurtsMom- that would be scary! Did you get to ask him how he is doing?

I created the group Ship 04 Div. 817 versus using the discussion that way people could join and go straight to "My Groups" to stay in touch. Honestly, I just wanted to connect with other people in Cody's Div. to share what we find out from our sailors. This whole thing has become very confusing. There are groups and discussions in multiple groups for both our PIR and our ship/div. My son's girlfriend is friends with a few of the gf's on facebook and seems to be able to stay in touch that way. I think I may just do the same. I will copy this to the various places that mention our PIR and Div. See everyone one here in PIR 7/30/2010. :)

I will delete my group...Thanks!

I think we should just hang out here. I will drop the PIR date from my group.
