Okay, this is a week early, but it's really important to know!

If you see sailors sitting up high in the bleachers, some of them are graduating, but will not be "standing" on the floor for the ceremony. Why? Lots of reasons. They are too exhausted to stand or they are not completely healed or well enough to stand that long - but it doesn't mean they didn't graduate!!!! If it is one of your sailors, do NOT go over to them until AFTER they announce Liberty Call. Just know that they are NOT in trouble.

During the service, you will see people walking between the rows of sailors - it will look like they are "staring them down" (it bothered me, until I learned why). It is very difficult to stand in the same position for 1 1/2 hrs, so these people are checking on everyone, making sure their legs don't go numb and looking to see if they are ready to pass out!

If you see your sailor walking in the hall before the ceremony begins, please do NOT go and hug them - they are working! At our PIR, I saw a mom jet across the walking path and grab her son and hug him - he had to say firmly "mom - stop that, go sit down". She walked away in tears and was hurt and confused, but he couldn't tell her why right then. So... I don't want any of you pushed away because you didn't know.

Not everyone at PIR is on N4M, so please spread the word to the other moms at your Meet & Greet please!

I recd a phone call on Sunday, 7/18/10, our son was in good spirits, enjoyed trying on "whites" and looking forward to grad. all going well with division, passed marching, etc. Recd. "2" letters, 7/20 and 7/21, said division is "one" and earning flags and avoiding chits. He didn't say when bs is, so, thank you for posting the date for bs as 7/28 Wed. (that is the day we are flying to Chicago) I know div 259 will be successful. I appreciate the "tips" and "comments" all moms have been posting, thank you ! Will try to do "meet/n/greet" but not sure of our plans. Sending out good luck to all our recruits for bs next week. MomceShip12/Div259
