Paris you should go into the Navy and be the FIrst Women Seal!!! Give those buys a run for their money. LOL

The Air Force is awesome. My dad and husband were Air Force. Good luck with whatever you decide. Does that mean we will have to get on a support group for friends of Air Force people? haha

Good Morning, my son made it to Groton, he said when they got on the plane the Pilot came out and told them Thank You for Serving our Country and they moved some of them to the first class section.

HOOYAH!!! And yes I am yelling!! With excitement!!! It was hard to leave D but I realize that he is where he belongs! He is content...well as content as he can be right now. Looks great, sounds great and is loving every minute of it. He misses us so much and we miss him but I am trying really hard to not think about that and focus on the positive, This is all he has ever talked about so I knew it was coming and can just be here to support him. I hear that PreBuds is really not starting until Jan and that means that they will not start Buds until May. Meaning next Nov we will meet in San Diego.
Good luck to Jacque tonite!!! Smoky thanks for the invite for our kids. I will not beable to go back to Chicago as I am having foot surgery this Thrusday and don't think I will be up to it.
Come on Christmas!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend (if you got to spend it) with their sailor. Of course it was bittersweet and all good things must come to an end and good-byes are soooo hard. I cried all the way out of the gate and then on to the plane. He looked and sounded great so that was reassuring. He will be heading to Virginia Tuesday so I will (hopefully) be mailing his laptop and cell by the end of the week. But I just wanted to thank everyone and say that you have all been such a wonderful support. I hope we can stay in touch. I do more reading than writing but I will try to pipe up now and then. Take care everyone

Good evening. I am so happy I had the chance to meet so many of you this weekend. Spending time with D's friends and their families was wonderful. Had a great day at NavyPier and eatting at Bubba Gumps.
Grandma Frances Thank you so much for the scarf!!!! We got so many compliments and people were wondering where they could get them!!
NMMD thanks for the buttons they were a big hit and will be a keepsake.
Marci thanks for your help with the iPhone instructions!!!
RoadRunnin mom thanks for opening up your room to us after meet and greet (stayed up way to late)
I am so proud of all our guys and gals. It was so amazing to see them all and meet so many of them. They sure are polite!! Did you notice the little things like how they walk, hold their hands. hold the doors,(D did do this before) Stand when relaxed (not like he use to!) It is just wonderful. It's great to hear that he loves it and it's FUN!!!
So again thanks to all and it was great meeting you all.
