for the recruits who arrived on 1-6, i think they have a little bit different schedule. Total time for BC would be 7 weeks from that date. So, I don't know if they cram several things in one week for those ones. Next time he calls, I will ask him what he has done so far...

I think ALL of the divisions struggle with the talking. I am just praying that it doesn't get them into too much trouble that it sets any of them back.

Debbie- YAY! You got your letter, thanks for sharing!

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

Great News! - I received a letter form my son today. The letter is dated Jan 21.He said he passed his DEP test and PFA!! Also that he is part of ships as as the Ships Mail Petty Officer. He said that he did get his last remaining wisdom tooth removed ( he had the other 3 removed back when he was 17) and that he was SIQ until Jan 22 and limited light duty until the 23rd. He said he was feeling fine. He also said he passed swim test! He said he was making a lot of good friends - his bunkmate is Knight from Tennessee, He said his bunk neighbors includes Bradford (who is their division's Master of Arms) - my son says Bradford is really smart and is helping my son study (thank you Bradfors!) He also mentions Chance form Chicago, Slayton from WVA and Haskins from Texas. My son has also said he and some of these boys pray together every night and that my son is going to chapel every Sunday (good!) He also said that folding and making his rack has gotten easier for him - just learning through repitition. He asked that we pray for one of his shipmates who has injured his hamstring and unfortunately whose wife recently suffered a miscarriage. My son closed his letter with that he was so happy to be finally moving forward with his life, that he could not wait to see us in Feb He then said to give Katie (our dog!) a hug and a kiss, that he loves us and that we are always in his heart. He then said he couldn't wait to show us how GOOD he looks in his uniform.
So there is is Ladies - a long time coming - but certainly worth the wait!!!
Prayers go out to his ailing shipmate and his family and all our recruits and their families. Have a wonderful day
