I think for the sake of argument and not knowing the full story sometimes opinions are best left to ones self!

navyblueeyes 7/106, well, what if the recruiter didn't do what he said he would do? Old fashioned, ok, but don't tell me you are going to be somewhere and not be there. Don't tell me you are going to help and not do it! That IS what my wife's recruiter did.

Also, along those lines of old fashioned. I am a very on time, to-do person. If I say I am going to do it. I do it, no questions. If someone above me tells me to do, and it doesn't break any laws I do it.

Don't disrespect me or my time. My time is just as valuable as the next persons. Don't tell me you are going to do something and don't. The military has obligations. The military knew from the get go that my wife is married. Don't drop the ball on doing what is required. Don't say you are entitled and not give it. Don't mess up something with one person that has been done for at least 15 years with 50 thousand other people.

Listen, I am all for discipline and good order. I was in the Army and I know the drill. I expect, and demand correct and lawful treatment. Don't tell me it cannot be done because I know it can. Just because you don't want to do it is why it cannot be done in most cases in the military.

An example is the DA Form 1172 that a spouse needed on here to get an ID card. That spouse was told you need that in hand in order to get the card. That is not true, per DEERS enrollment. The person saying that to the spouse did not want to do it period. The form can be downloaded from the DEERS database and with proper ID the persons identity in question can be verified and the ID issued.

Debbie, I am with ya. We should have all met in GL earlier. Would have made the wait easier.

Well, Gman let me begin by saying that I have Verizon and I LOVE it! My husband hass AT&T and he hates it - wishes he had Verizon. Main reason - coverage!! mine is soooo much better than his no matter where we go.

Sitting around - hmm - I made myself wash some clothes, go to the grocery, drop off dry cleaning and could not wait to get back to my computer.....should have just left now and had a big get together in GL!!!!

And, one more question. Who is just sitting around like I am? I am so nervous and excited and worried I cannot do anything, or maybe don't feel like it. Anyway, I am just sitting around counting down the hours!!

Also, why haven't they updated the Honor Recruits webpage? Don't we have any this week?? Now that would be funny as hell!!
