I'm wishing I was in Florida for the same reason. Thats where all my stuff is- photo albums, good clothes, favorite shoes. nice jewelery. etc. I have so many good photos from when Dereck was little, but they are all in Florida.. *sulking*

For those of you that havent thought about it, We picked up 3 sets of binoculars today for 10 bucks a piece. It may be easier to find my son with them. My visions not the greatest so I think these will be a godsend

wow...arent we talkative today?? I go take a short little tiny nap for three hours and you guys have thrown down 6 pages! I guess I'm gonna have to lay off the pain meds just to keep up with you all. Angel congrats to your son! I still havent received a letter since the 4th. I will choke my son after I hug his neck for keeping me in the dark. I am still gonna choke him for signing up with the navy and thinking he is a grown man. He is NOT a grown man. He is my oldest baby and he is not allowed to become an adult. Therefore he has to stay living at home with mom for the rest of his life.
This is really a hard thing for me to do. I have raised all three of my sons by myself for the last 14 years. With Dereck gone, our family seems so incomplete. This is going to take a while to get used to. My other son is 17 and not far behind him. I have no idea what I will do when they are all grown. Thats about the time I will decide I need to find a husband..... or a dog

ok yall Ill admit, I was knocked out... I think I am the one with all the good chemicals. But I am afraid to take all of them at once. They gave me demerol for pain, soma for muscle spasms, floazepam to sleep and a nasty antibiotic- doxycyclene... wonder what a brownie would do to that combination. No wonder I'm so sleepy!

Keljacmom, what time are you flying out of dallas? I am flying out of AA terminal in Dallas at 1:20 on flight 3624 on thursday. Was hoping maybe yours might be the same.

Woo Hoo !! Got TWO letters!!!! What a great way to start my weekend, and it really puts me in the modod now to PACK!!! ...or at least start packing I should say...
He said they're doing the FF training this week and getting haircuts. He said they get to pick the cut...??... He'll be going to San Diego after BC and he said they told him he would leave a few days after PIR. He said he keeps dreaming of San Diego and warmer weather... He wants some good Italian food while we're there... any ideas?
He finally acknowledged all of my letters and thanked me for writing - it helped keep his sanity he said.
He also said he has to get another shot soon - the one in the backside that's really painful the next day.
He sounded good, kept saying how much he can't wait to see us. I am so excited I just had to race to my computer and share with you guys. Nobody understands quite like you all !!!

When I count my blessings, I count you.

He said it hasn't quite hit him yet that he's "in the Navy"...I bet it will real soon! Like at PIR!!! Especially when he goes out and about with us and he's in uniform, and when he reports to his next destination with his orders, etc....

Sorry if I'm rambling - just got that "nervous energy" ! ! ! & I just had to share!
