Angel(blue-eyed-son)7/103, sorry no letter for you. I hear your pain. I cannot do anything until I get one! And all weekend, beer time for me. I hear your pain!

Hello!! Very glad to hear about letters!! It is always good to hear form our loved ones - it sets our minds at ease doesn't it!

Update on the doggie - first diagnosis is severe arthritis in back legs and hips - not soooo bad cuz it can be treated somewhat with doggie anti-inflammatories. Second diagnosis - TBA. Drew blood will get the test results tomorrow. Suspecting hypothyroidism (not so bad can be treated with doggie thyroid medication) and also doggie diabetes ( ok - that's where it gets bad. Involves ongoing blood tests and insulin shots. ) Lab results to be back tomorrow .

New profile pic to be put up later tonight. Talk later - xxoo

yea...we got a letter today also. It was dated 1/31 so it has been hanging around a post office somewhere for awhile. You can tell he is behind in sharing info cause he told us about what he is doing at graduation...we already knew from his girlfriend and also that he had wisdom teeth taken out....again we already knew from gf letters! He did mention that his division was expecting an inspection by an admiral....don't know if that is good or bad! We had asked him what snacks we could bring him that he was really missing....he said any fast food in general. The RDCs come in eating Arby's, Wendy's and Buffalo Wild Wings so that is what he is really craving. He did say to also bring him some bbq potatoe chips! Also said he had gotten several shots....I know all old news...the ones in the arm weren't too bad, but the one in the butt was a pain. It was nice to get a two page letter with some info in it this time!

See everyone in a week....

Well, I just got through my wife's latest letter.

Disappointment in other sailors today that are in her div. She said that is the reason they cannot call. She said the RDCs said, "You need food, water, shelter." Some of the recruits don't keep it down and keep their mouths shut. This kind of makes me mad that I cannot talk to her because of a few numb skulls!! Too bad it isn't like when I went through basic, we had our way with those types of guys and they learned really quickly to keep their pie holes shut!

They were supposed to call this past Sat. but were not allowed to because they didn't do very well on a drill inspection, but they got a flag anyway. But no call because of the few that don't know how to discipline themselves! As you can tell this makes me mad!

My wife said that she passed her firearms training. She needed extra training because she was shooting crazy and was hitting their $10000 trolley. lol.... She made it though after getting remedial training. She did mention she wasn't the only one hitting the expensive trolley. Oh well, she had never fired a weapon before!

Last week when they got all that snow out there she said that they were given the chance to march in it! Yuck, she said!

She mentioned again how much their RDCs think that they suck and they tried to inspire them, but it didn't work!

I feel sorry for my wife because she talks about how old she is compared to the rest of the recruits. The next closest recruit is 29 and my wife is 30! I think she is just doing fine and I tell her in every letter. Almost done!!

This week they have their firefighting test on Friday and as everybody already know the gas chamber also. She didn't mention when but I assume the same as everybody else, this past Wed.

She is still sick. I find this very interesting. I don't really understand how they can be so sick all the time, I mean they are almost finished. You would think that they would have gotten this stuff out of their systems by now. Oh well, it will clear up in Florida!!

I am assuming she is talking about this Friday but she says she will get her orders after their test on Friday. That is good, now if they could just call home to let their loved ones know what the h-e-double toothpicks is going on!

Her final PFA is Monday. She is still worried about that. Before she left we worked out and ran a little bit. She really had problems finding decent shoes and now she thinks the issued shoes are the problem with her running. Too bad they are all scared to go to the dr. otherwise they could get stuff like this fixed!

That's it. Man I cannot wait until this crap-Ola is over with! She is writing telling me to hang in there. That is really nice since she knows I am going bonkers!!

Almost over!

6 letters today as I breeze through the house~ ribbon for marksman ship~ been very sick~ ready for graduation~ instructed to give dogs eskimo kisses :o) lol ~ no DEERS help~ but I did get my ID changed to his last name today so maybe all will be okay. Terrible we've been married this long and I never changed my name till now.
Love Toby! If only more people thought like him!
Gspen~ jealous over the ID but I don't have a POA and don't think I want to take a day off to try and get it done on the half chance... better just keep my apt in GL.
Going to re-do the ribbon tonight after I go to Hobby Lobby for the much needed "sticky letters"
Hope your all having a good day!
