Got two letters in today's mail so you all should be getting some news as well Ok according to my daughters its official they did earn their fourth flag for drill assessment so now they are allowed to march on base without supervision. Out of mutual respect I will open the other when my my spouse get home later today. More snow here about 6 inches since this morning
Comment by True Grit on February 16, 2010 at 8:11pm
Just finished the second letter pretty funny stuff, My sailor notes he lost about ten pounds of bulk to muscle, and he just earned his first medal in his naval career as did two others. He also said the base got hammered by the snow and that there's a case of conjunctivitis amongst the recruits. In your next letter be sure to ask if your sailor is suffering from Beretta Bites

I still didn't get my questionnaire back, I am hoping for that in the next few days.

I got a letter today, once again, no information to share, sorry. He is too worried about what is going on back here. He can't wait for bc to be over but he said the days are flying by. At least I got a letter, he joked a lot so he still hasn't lost his sense of humor.

cudawn, we have a Dodge caliber ,which would be considered a smaller crossover, and I hate it. The drivers side is too cramped and it has a plasticy feel to it.

Thanks also for the mail info. I was wondering about that.

Yepp, I am going to P-cola for sure now that I am not working. I am planning on leaving Iowa the week after she gets there, or around there. Since they are stuck on base for the first week I will go down after that. You going down also? Check out marketplace on FB if you want more places to look for a place down there, that is assuming you have FB.
Comment by RicksWifeAmber on February 16, 2010 at 5:47pm
Well they should still be able to write on Sunday but some of us might not get it till we get home... Are you still planning on coming to P'cola?
Comment by Gman Navy Husband on February 16, 2010 at 5:44pm
Ok, so I will send her my last card tomorrow. That sucks no mail the last week for them and for me. That is how I stay sane, or one of the ways anyway. This site helps alot too!! You guys should look at the PIR group that graduates this weekend. They are getting crazy on their postings! Pretty funny to read through because that is where we will be next week!!
