also- dont forget to wear your ribbon to PIR so other N4M's can know who you are in case they cant get to the meet and greets. Having never been to Chicago, I called a friend that is from there. He told me that the John G Shedd aquarium, the planetarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, The Field Museum of Industry, the Willis (Sears) Tower and the John Hancock building are all great places to go. He said the aquarium and the museums are within walking distance of each other. He didnt know about prices tho, so I will be checking into that and post later if anyone is interested. The Navy Pier has a Bubba Gump Shrimp and said a whole day can be taken up at the Pier.

Another gift idea - there is a "Sailor's Bible" available ( any bookstore, christian life store, online, etc.) It is specific to sailors, with special entries just for them. We gave our son the bible and st.michael's medal for xmas ( he has his bible with him at bc-wants me to bring his medal to him at PIR)

Dreams - no problem here with the website....

Barbajean - we decided on designing and wearing a navy blue ribbon, with your screen name on one end and your ship/div on the other. Be as creative as you want to be! And I think we have concensus for a late Meet n Greet at the Ramada.

BTW - in the last letter we rec'd from our son, he specifically asked that we take him to the best "pizza or burger joint" in Chicago while on liberty. So I have a couple of links to the "Best of Chicago" if anyone is interested!!

Good Morning Ladies - Happy Valentine's Day to All !
We are closing in on the single digits - I m so excited, can't hardly function!
Thanks for the BD wishes - yes I seem to be getting older no matter what! Its kind of funny cuz husband and I were high school sweethearts so we "knew each back when" - and we find it surreal that we are 53 now. We have been so fortunate and have come to realize we are surely blessed and are thankful for it.
SOOOOOOO what are you all doing today???!!!
