I received a letter! And I have to admit the emotions hit me harder than I thought they would! I tried to brace myself in the event I wouldn't hear from her. Plus one of my other daughters received a call from her today and so I was kinda being a big baby about...not... hearing anything since the I'm hear call.
You vets are right about the handwriting. It is so easy to read! To protect the innocent I won't go into any details but she said the girls in her division are getting a long great. (whew!) Any for any of you whose SR's may have a birthday during boot camp (like her) she said DO NOT SEND ANYTHING CLOSELY RELATED TO A BIRTHDAY CARD. She said IT in her division for birthdays so far is INTENSE and she doesn't want to go through it lol.
i was so hoping for that date for my son march 29th for PIR when did your sr arrive at BC? im hoping our PIR isn't 04-05 thanks
Our sailor p.I.r. in February and it was wonderful and cold we stayed close to base and we had drove our car up to g, l, bur
T we took a shuttle from hotel to base I wish we had drove our carr on base we would have had a shorter walk than where bus droped there's plenty of cabs waiting at visitor gate but even the short ride from base to hotel was twenty two dollars I'm glad we did have our car to get around ,after pir our sailor was going to a school in g.l. so we left the base about eleven fifteen am and we picked up our sailor about three thirty so we had a couple hours that day and we picked her up Saturday in the am about eight and she was happy to be able to get her phone laptop and some pjs to take back to school we did enjoy Jack's pizza for dinner and Emily's pancake house for a awesome breakfasts great menu only open till three pm
racer88girl, PIR for Division 130 is 03/22/2013 and is confirmed by http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp. I see you have joined PIR 03/22/2013 TG 19 - 11 Divisions (121-130 and 919); others will be joining you there.
Got form letter today my SR is Ship 12 Div 130, PIR is 03/29/13. Is anyone else SR in this group.
Stephany, recruiters sometimes give outdated info on the location of the "A" School, so if you do find out the rating, double-check the location against those in the link I gave you.
Stephany, if you know what his rating (job/specialty) is, you can go to Ratings, A School Locations, and Links to Groups and click on the attachment and find out where "A" School or the first training will be or post it and I (or someone else) can tell you. If you don't know, then it is best to leave late Sunday, that way if he stays in GL, you will have time with him each day and if he flies out, you will be rested up for your own trip.
Marcy, rate=rank/pay grade (E-1, E-2, E-3...) and rating=job/specialty
You can always ask your brother's recruiter, too :)
What's his job (rate)? You can google that plus A school; and/or join a NavyforMoms.com group for his job and ask the members there.
