I'll be posting some information on Sarge's meet and greet over the weekend for PIR on 11/10.  I just might go to his instead of the Ramada.  Not sure yet.

I have a question about PIR - alot of moms recommend sitting on the upper levels of the bleachers.  But after watching some videos of PIR I'm wondering why they feel the upper seats are better.  From the video, it seemed harder to see your sailor and people standing up in front of you blocking your view.

So, if we want Sarge to have a meet & greet on 11/4 we need to call him?  or is he planning one every week?  I wonder if his first one was well attended, and if not, maybe he is thinking it isn't worth having more.  But I liked the plan of his and it sounded much more fun.  So, please let us know what is in the plans

I am happy to go to both Ramada and Sarge's., but I have too much on my plate to try to set up a second one for Sarge... Is he having them automatically?  (sorry if this sounds snarky, I just want to know and not have to chase the info)

If Sarge is going to have another meet and greet on 11/10 PIR then maybe he may continue on having them. Hoping he has one for the 11/18 PIR :o)

Here is Sarge's number (847) 212-0246. He runs a taxi service and he is awesome!! Any questions you have of where to eat or where to go he has all the answers.

Congrats Donnac!! My daughter is in DIV 901. Her PIR is 11/18.  I can't wait to see her perform.  We will also be using Sarge's services.

Hi my son's PIR was this past Friday 10/14. The ceremony was awesome, it was great to finally see my son after those long 8 weeks. My son was in DIV 948 which is the DIV that performs during graduation. When I entered the doors to the hall and saw my SR standing there it was the most exciting feeling ever. I wasn't sure if I was able to hug him but he reach out to me and hugged me first!! I stayed at the Navy Lodge which was great and instead of renting a car I used "Sarge" for all of my traveling needs as well as guidance on where to go and what to do. PIR is absolutely an experience your SR and you will never forget!! Good luck to all past present and future Sailors!!

We have PIR this Friday.  I am also wondering if Sarge will still be doing the addtional Meet & Greet?
Comment by Bandito's Mom on October 12, 2011 at 11:46pm
Wondering, did anyone go to Sarge's Meet & Greet for the most recent PIR?  How did it go?  Are more planned?
Comment by Renee on October 11, 2011 at 1:00pm
We were in the "car line" about 7:30 on Friday night and saw quite a few Sailors bailing from their respective rides - hilarious!  There is a traffic officer due to the number of Sailors walking, and he was quite forceful with the cars (put your window down so you can hear what's going on - there's alot happening in the evening).  In some ways it's just like preschool - wait in line, pull up, drop your Sailor off and keep going around the loop!  No problems getting our Sailor back on time, but he was adamant about being back before 8PM.
