Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi everyone, I haven't posted here for a while but I wanted to let you know that I still follow along. Mstrchief, I'm sending prayers up for you and your brave son. I'll be anxious to hear that everything went well and he is recovering "better than expected."

Ellen, Bravo Zulu to E !! Mom of cjj thanks for sharing the pic. It' been a long road for us & our sons hasn't it? I'm so happy yours is doing well. Rachel, hang on momma that time must be getting nearer now. To all other 281 family, all my best to you & your warriors!

mstrchief - I will be out of town a week from today, but he will be in my prayers that day for a successful surgery, and quick healing. my son did mention to me that he talked to your son recently, so I know they keep in contact somewhat. He was also appauled that it has taken this long to have surgery. Best of luck

Our boys are in the early stages in 2 8 4

Had no leave between boot camp and prebuds and nothing between prebuds and buds. They will have at least 30 days leave of the books after BUDS. Is it typical to get some leave before they start SQT? Mad Dog
