Congrats Mama I'm ... and RoosMama I can feel the relief in your posts. thanks for sharing. anyone else celebrating today? We can come here to this site and feel heard and accepted and we truly do know how you feel. Today will bring changes for some men, and you are also in our hearts and prayers today . Remember: we don't know what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future. I will pray for those who will alter their course today that they find peace and can truly realize their accomplishments and not dwell on the bumps in the road. We truly are with you in spirit, united in our hopes and dreams. Virtual hugs to all who are relieved and those who are hurting.

Dear Father,
Today our boys are still on a journey that is difficult, challenging, dangerous and thrilling to them.. As you tell us in your word, you are the shield that protects us. Be their protectors this week. Bless them with strength when the job gets tough and their bodies are tired. Warm the waters around them when their bodies are shaking in the cold. Keep their minds clear and focused on the task at hand. Keep their minds free from anxiety. Please help us left at home to be the source of strength through prayers for each other and our men. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do. Amen

Proud Family - thanks so much for that prayer. we are with them in spirit as they face today, and so are the angels surrounding them, curbing their frustrations, clearing their minds, helping the air flow :) and giving them peace no matter what the outcome. You guys truly are kindred spirits to me. 281 - stay strong today! 282 moms - we support you and know what HW is like, I will light a candle tonight for all of 282 to focus on the current evolution, and not to lose heart, and to feel that God has them in the palm of his hand. Peace to the mom's trying to sleep and work and function this week.

Dear Father,
Thank you for the weekend that our guys have enjoyed. We praise you for your constant presence with our sailors and the way you have given them strength of body, mind and soul. We praise you for the power of prayer that you have promised us. I ask that tonight when their heads hit the pillows, that they are blessed with a sound sleep that will revive their bodies and minds. Release them from anxiety and apprehension, I remember your words "I can do all things through Him that strengthens me." I ask for peaceful sleep and calm nerves for them tonight and tomorrow. Support them tomorrow with a clear mind that is focused on the task at head. Thank you for your constant presence and loving hand with our families. Amen

I am missing mine right now more than ever. I just downloaded an old song, "God Bless the USA" and was listening to it as I read "The Lone Survivor". (First time reading, haven't been able to pick it up until now). Anyway, Luttrell mentions why a lot of guys are called to serve (pg 54) and refers to "the hair standing up on their neck when they hear the national athem and see the flag flying." I am Proud to be an American and so Proud of MY Son! It is a slow process, but I am much more able to understand his determination and drive.

Let's offer our word of support and caring to our friends in class 282 this morning.
It will be a long week for them and they need us as we needed the others before us!
