I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

we will keep that family in our prayers. so sad. I don't think I shared with you guys that my brother in law is a Navy SEAL(for 12 years), based in Virginia Beach, currently in Afghanistan, with a wife(my sister) and 2 kids back in Virginia Beach. Please keep him in your prayers for safety during missions. He was injured in Falujah sp? , a couple years ago, but is back in the action. That article is too close to home. My heart aches.

Did anyone else hear another SEAL lost his life, this time in Afghanistan...so very tragic for the family and the community of brothers.

Rachel - Glad it is over, and you are feeling better! Continued healing! (those are the same sentiments our son's had last Friday!)

Rachel, they're called Endodontists (had to look it up).

Yuk Rachel, hope that goes well. I've had them that were a breeze, then again, 2 were not. A specialist is always better at it.

ProudMamma, I got all choked up picturing you there, so happy you were able to do that, I know it wasn't easy for you with your health issues.

For all the family with sons continuing this journey to SO, remember (I know you do every day) that receiving the Trident makes your son one of the super-elite soldiers of the entire world!!! None are more skilled, better equipped, or highly prized by the U.S. Military than they. HooYah!

The military channel is playing the BUDS training videos this morning, and I saw it flipping channels and stopped. How proud I am of our boys. I think all the emotions I held in for the last 5 weeks are flowing out right now. Watching these guys on tv and realizing the reality that my son endured it and survived it makes it more painful to watch than before he began indoc. I am glad I have you to share my feelings because even my dearest friends don't quite get it....

talking about coming up on a year........... My son told me on April 1st of last year that he was going to join the navy. I really thought it was an April fools joke (I told him I was pregnant a few years back, and really fooled him, I thought he was getting me back for a few days). anyway, he was serious, very, obviously, but this year on April 1st, I think I will tell him that I'm going to join the Navy! :)

Yes, love my 2b's, that does help, thanks. I'd like to know that my son can attend services where he is (if he chooses to do that).

Ellen...our sons will be in the Navy coming up on a year, can you believe it?
