How exciting for you "a mother"   that is a once in a lifetime experience!  thanks for sharing.    Pt. Loma lighthouse closed at 5pm, so we couldn't tour it, so be sure to arrive before then if you go!  It was a great way to end Friday after Graduation.  peaceful.

We went to Pt. Loma after the ceremony and walked around the graveyard and watched the sunset.  then went to an amazing italian place called "Old Venice" at the base of Pt. Loma.  get reservations if you go.  wonderful food.  We ate in Coronado at Villiage Pizza ( the 48 inch pizza place) and at a Mexican place called Michels.   it was very good , and reasonable.  on the strip near bullshirts.

I'm wondering if the "OFFICIAL LIST"  Isn't the people who rsvp to the email address listed on the invitation.   So if more people want to go, rsvp their names to the email.   Only the people who got invitations know about the email, and my last minute sister in law got in from my email only.  no invitation was sent to her.  DON'T FORGET TO HAVE YOUR DRIVERS LISCENCE WITH YOU!   Also... if you have someone who you're not sure about,  they can drive on base with your graduate.   The graduate's car can get on base, and if he is driving, he can bring people on base.  My son had to be there before 9am, (he was there by 8am to be sure)   so just have the last minute person in question ride with the graduate in the car they use all the time to get on base.  No problem.    We went on base several times in my son's car.  Just have ID.    also......  When we arrived at 8:15 or so , there was a huge line of cars turning left to get into the base.  we waited 30 min or more in that line.   my smart brother in law kept going until he could do a u turn blocks down the road and came back at the base, thus turning right.  much faster.   I would advise that!

Sue, is that how the grad's guest list is formed by the names on the invitations? Somewhere I have heard or read that more can come even if they didn't receive an official invitation. Do you, or anyone else, know anything about that.

I put as many individual names on the the 5 address as were people that said they were definately coming..   I even put an aunts name on my home address with myself and my husband and kids, so that is 5 names to my one home address!      we had 12 people come and we all sat because we got there early enough.    .I was honored to have family from 5 different states come!   It meant alot to have them spend all time and money on that airfare/hotel just to support my son. I was shocked really.    GET THERE EARLY.  and be sure to look for the room showing the video starting at 10am.   Did I emphasize that enough yet??????

Not sure about the actual wording on the invitation, but I was told 5 spots per guy + any additional guests standing room.  Parents would count as 2 people. Does that help?
