I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

Rephrase: cellulitis can be caused by exposure to polluted ocean water coming in contact with open wounds. Warnings about SIPE were made at GL.

Making it to BUDS is a great accomplishment. Only the highly motivated, strong and brave are willing to attempt such a super-human endeaver. Bravo Zulu to each young man, no matter what the outcome. And the same to each mother and father.

Wow, the visual I just had of angels warming my son, sent tears rolling. I too will pray that prayer!
I woke up this morning and checked the weather in Coronado! I know the warm sun will feel good today. I also think it lifts the spirits!
THank you all for the wonderful words. Keep them coming today!

Sunshine forcasted today in Coronado! high of 68, my prayers for today: Dear Lord, When you were in the desert, tempted beyond strength, you were sent angels to assist you. I ask that you send angels to Coronado today to warm, strenghen, uplift, and give peace and encouragement to our men. Wrap them in God's love and let them feel that the end is near, and to make wise decisions and avoid injury/illness. I will imagine them embracing our men. Give encouragement , wisdom and compassion to the instructors today. Praise to you for all the blessings in our lives, and we ask for continued ones. Amen

hang in there ladies! The sun will come out tommorrow, as the song goes.....

Dear Father,
Thank you for the heat of the day and the warmth of your spirit. Be with our guys as the darkness of the night sets in and lighten their hearts with your love and spirit. Let the stars above shine down from the heavens to lift their thoughts. Rest their bodies while their minds stay awake. Keep them safe through all activities. Gracious, Heavenly Father - I give thanks to you for your mighty presence with my son and the other men of Class 281,for I know they could not endure such intense physical and mental anguish without your Holy Spirit living within them, guiding them down the SEALS path you have called them to serve. Lord, I humbly ask you to continue to give them the physical and mental strength and courage to continue throughout every minute left in this week. I ask you to help my son and the men endure this in your glory. When the tiredness and pain sets in, lift their spirit with encouraging thoughts to keep their minds occupied. Push them along when the end of the run isn’t in sight. Lift them up when their legs can no longer hold them,.make the pain of blisters and sandy eyes melt away....heal the chafing of the skin and feet. ..make the coldness of the water feel like warmth...... Protect all from doubt, harm and injury. Those who believe know you can make all of this happen for these brave, dedicated servants, Father. I humbly bow down and ask you, believing you will hear my prayers, to pull Class 281 through the remainder of the week without physical injury. I pray that they will give you the glory and praise for all that has happened. Father you amaze me with your works. You bless me with your love. I ask these things in the name of your son, who serves us daily, and loves us eternally. Amen!

Ellen and ray ray -- my heart is with you both today. So sorry your sons won't be in 281 , but God obviously has a better fit for him somewhere else. I do believe that ALL things work together for good, but it is so hard to see past the dissapointment. did either son say how many are left now? prayers are for peace for both of you, and healing for this crazy s i p e thing. Somebody tell me what "coming over to north island" means????

I remember when my biggest worry was on whether he got in the days I wanted at pre-school,..... I have had lots of pre-school flashbacks this week... They have kept me smiling.

One day at a time, one hour at a time. It is good to be getting closer to the end. anyone else jumping at each time the phone rings? nervous eating? waking up every hour on the hour? This roller coaster may be more than I bargained for, I need to relax, and believe that whatever will be will be, and to feel God's peace, no matter what the outcome of this week! thanks for understanding and prayers. ellen - sorry to hear about your back, hope you are not in too much pain!

My prayer this morning is for the young men who are taking another path. May they have time to heal their bodies, hearts, minds and souls. For them this is a time to grieve their lost dream. Stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Sadness, Bargaining, and finally acceptance. I pray that they and their families move through the phases in the right timing for them, and that they move to their next path smoothly. They too are heroes. They have gone where few are willing or able to go. I honor each one and pray for his future, and honor his courage.
