I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

Wow - I am overwhelmed. Thanks to grandpa/oneday@time and everyone else who posted such encouraging things the last 24 hours! I copied down the "mother quotes" also, and feel almost as if I need to take notes from you all. the support from parents in the same boat is priceless, and so much appreciated. THANK YOU for being there. I thought once a day was enough to check this site, but I guess I'll have to come "home" to it more often this week. I am so proud of all of 281, no matter what the outcome of the week! Thanks also for the "wednesday sunrise" explaination. You guys educate me so much! I will take the prayer time 8-9 am this week. I would love to hear any updates anyone has, so PLEASE PM me if you can't post it here. I really want to know. thanks for grandma's advice too! I am taking it to heart! WHEN they graduate and get their trident, we will all have a wonderful meeting/reunion and put faces to names that have meant so much during this time. See ya tommorrow !

Great article Laurenwb. I also didn't see my son. But just seeing pictures of the class is great.

In the anticipation of Hell Week, I have printed out the Navy SEALS creed as a reminder that our young men are striving to a very high and honorable standard. I understand that many will not be able to achieve this, but only a few, remarkable and honorable men even attempt what our boys are doing.

I'm a proud Navy Dad who has benefited by the post in this forum. Thank you for allowing me to to feel included in this journey of parents and sons.

This is not the full creed, but I think this section holds special meaning as our young men prepare for next week. Carry our boys close this week!

----
My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a Guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work or seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession placing the welfare and security of others before my own.

I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions regardless of circumstances sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast.

My Word is my Bond.

We expect to lead and be lead. In the absence of Orders I will take charge, lead my Teammates, and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations.

I will NEVER Quit!

I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies.

If knocked down I will get back up every time!

I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my Teammates and accomplish the mission.

I am NEVER out of the fight!

We demand discipline. We expect innovation. The lives of my Teammates and the success of our mission depend on me, my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail.

My training is NEVER complete!

I thank God for each young man who is pursuing this honorable vocation. May we have the courage to take our fears and turn them into support for our boys.

Is anyone up for starting a prayer chain where we each have an assigned hour for prayers throughout the day, the same time every day?

ok gumbo, what does Wed. sunrise on their way home mean? What happens on Wed? One evolution at a time is the motto! fingers are crossed and knees are bent.

Ok , thanks for the explaination, and I do understand and I will not give specific specifics! Don't want them to hinder the boys. don't stop posting, though, I really enjoy your cyber - friendship!
