I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

I looked on their website, and don't see the classes shirts.   How can we see what one looks like?  Describe it to us!   Can you post a photo of the shirt by your name?  I'd love to see one!

Sorry,  my son is now in a later class, but went through BUDS with 281 .  He sent us a t-shirt this week that he purchased for his dad. I had seen the earlier classes shirts at Bullshirts when on a visit, so he got us one from his HW class.

Just received the coolest t-shirt in the mail today with the numbers 2 8 1 on it! Wow what a badge of honor!  My husband is out for his daily walk in it right now....Our son will be graduating with a later class but shared 2010 Spring Break with this class!  Love the shirt!

We did Sea world and the Zoo on weekdays, and it was empty!  no waiting at all!  wonderful!   full day at each.  Wish I could go and meet my 282 moms also!  we want a full report of your experiences also!

Great to be with you also, Mama I'm coming Home ( how did you come up with that name anyway????)  Wish we could have stayed longer. 282 moms:  go for a week if you can!  a few days before and a few days after. My husband is jealous about skydiving, what memories you have!   I have to admit, I didn't shed a tear at the ceremony, it was just so overwhelming, and it felt like my body was full of adrenaline and in shock, kinda.   Yesterday, alone, I got a text from my son, nothing special, and it hit me how much more I miss him, now that we spent almost a week together.  I miss his smile and wit, and I sobbed for a good while on my couch. Haven't cried since Hell week.  Always such mixed emotions, joy and fear and loss and pride, all rolled into one emotional cry.   Mom's hearts are forever  vulnerable, no one tells you that when they are newborns.  And this is just the beginning.......

This is a quote from the Admiral that spoke at the graduation:

"The highest reward of a man's

toil is not what he gets for it, but what he becomes from it."
