I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

Hey guys - I just emailed the following to our local newspaper, hoping to get more media involved. Possibly, some of you can do the same! "My son is in the next starting class for Navy SEALs in San Diego, and some Navy moms are attending a rally there on Jan 19th to support the 3 navy SEALS who are being court marshelled for giving a terrorist a fat lip. Their trial starts Jan 19, and I haven't seen many news stories about it. I think people would be outraged to know our elite teams are being prosecuted for doing their jobs. I'd like to suggest a story be done about the rally and/or the trial. Thank you. ":

Ray Ray - What is PTRR? My son also has those toe shoes, I think they are the funniest looking things ever, and just can't believe that 20 year old men are wearing them. They are uncomfortable to me! I will begin praying for the 3 SEALs on trial now, that is crazy, and I hope they throw out the case. Why isn't this all over the media?

If you have not heard about the prosecution of the 3 Navy SEALS, please investigate. There are a number of groups supporting them. If nothing else, visit the SEAL Moms group, they have spoken about it there. As far as I have found, only Fox News has reported on this outrage. I'm posting a link to a video, it's dramatic, but I believe accurate. I wish I coule be there myself on Jan. 19, but I'm just too far awary.

Yes, as I posted earlier, my son has learned already that nothing is certain and we had to just 'take the chance' that his flight and leave would happen. He was literally running around the base the day of his flight to get the i's dotted and the t's crossed, so he could catch the train make his flight, and he was first one to put in his chit 2 months earlier.

MstrChief, B came home for Thanksgiving and they didn't give him a definate OK until the day he left. He was running around going through hoops until the very last minute. My opinion is that they just don't give them a definate answer at all. We just had to take the chance that it would happen, and it did.

I was getting so sad today listening to the Christmas song from WWII, "I'll be Home for Christmas," thinking how real it is that deployment will really happen some day soon, but then I thought about what grandpa said, "just think about today" and it made me feel a LOT better, thanks grandpa!

From my experience with lurking on other groups txt is the usual mode of communication at this time....and especially later.

Yes, San Diego is quite the "sailor town." Hopefully they will eventually get to enjoy some leisure time. Safe travel for those still on theri way. B's buddy headed down right after Thanksgiving.
